  1. ACT thread still lives !!!!! He he he. Zacos - was that you I saw coming out of KFC today at around 2pm ish??? Still love those mag's - Wanna swap
  2. I remember reading somewhere of somethat had a problem simular to this. It ended up being one of the temp sensors. When it was cold it thought it was warm, and wouldn't richen the mixtures up, so it would start. Might be worth a look into. J
  3. Yepp that's the one. Damn hard to get onto a fast server though Hopefully they'll put more up when the full version comes out.
  4. I noticed the whine of the turbo spinning up after I put my dump pipe on. And I know that my turbo is fine cause while the dump pipe was off I check out the turbo for shaft movement and everything was sweet. It's a really high pitched whine that goes so high it actually goes out of my hearing range !!!! As the other blokes said, it's pretty normal. It's funny cause when I do it past dogs and kangaroos they freak out... He he he he J
  5. I'm pretty sure that my standard BOV is leaking, although it doesn't really bother me that much. Just accelerating slowly, the boost needle doesn't even get into 'boost' and I can hear the BOV open and start circulating air. When I bought the car the standard BOV was blocked off, I think there was a after market one on there. Now whether is was blocked off cause it was leaking, or because they were running a another one, I don't really know. Is there any other way of telling if your BOV is leaking? When I had it off it was pretty easy to push in. J
  6. How could a hi/lo boost switch be defectable?
  7. Anybody else played this? It's only new out, maybe a few weeks. There's a demo for single and multi player. I've been playing it over the net for the last few hours and OMG it's addictive. I might actually buy this one ;) ;) Bad thing is it's a 132meg download for the demo   But gezz the graphics are good. Anyway - enough talk, I'm going back to playing
  8. Sweeeeeett...
  9. TurboGTST, Just wondering, did your car come with the R32 computer, or did you do the swap/remap yourself? And who did the remapping? What sort of cost would people be up for for such a swap (including the VCT board you mentioned). I had a quick look into doing a swap a while ago, but the VCT thing got me stuffed. Any info you've got to help me out would be great. Share your wisdom young Jedi Jayson
  10. I can't help you with any good exhaust shops, but if you want to know where I wouldn't go just PM me. Gold plating would look nice. Expensive, but I'd be scared that some little pri[k would knock them off. J
  11. http://www.nengun.siteblast.com http://www.takakaira.com/ http://www.perfectrun.com.au/index.html http://www.japanesemotorsport.com.au/mainpage.htm http://www.hksusa.com Should keep you going for a while J
  12. No worries. Thanks anyway J
  13. Doc, It makes sense to me. I know that if/when I get a power FC I'll be getting it from him. A chance at saving some hard ernt cash... Hmmmmm, let me think.... YEPP
  14. Sweeeeetttt. Thanks J BTW: do you have a R32 or a R33 GTS-t/GTR?
  15. Hustlr - any chance of getting another one at the price I'm willing to pay cash..... ;)
  16. My idea of a good price (and this is only due to my budget ) is around the $1000 mark. I think I'd be pushing $hit up hill to find a kit for that price, but if anyone finds one pleeeeeaaaaassssseeeee let me know.. J
  17. HEAPS. Remember that the R32 GTR is the fastest out of the bunch !! I really can't see how you'd do it only running 10psi. I could be wrong here, but I'd say that you'd need to get upto around the 210-230 rwkw (maybe more) to out do a R32 GTR down the 1/4 mile. J
  18. Cool, I'm in Woden a fair bit so I'll keep an eye out for you. What's your car look like? Have you got a series 1 or a series 2? If you've got the 2 they yeah, don't go above 10psi. 1's are ok up to 12psi but I wouldn't go further. The Apexi thingy, what does it look like? Single knob, 5 knob, or a flashy blue screen thing?
  19. He he he, get yourself a bleed valve and take the boost upto 12psi. Makes a big difference. I'd say your car is running mega rich too (intake and exhaust mods) so if you can spare the $$$ get something to bring the A/F down and you should be around the 170rwkw mark. J
  20. Buy yourself a Rottie and get him to sleep in the garage with the car
  21. BY BY, Yepp, it's pretty straight forward. Put aside an hour or two to do it though. Be carefull when you take the coil packs out, sometimes the rubbers can get brittle from the heat, and if you twist them too much they can break J
  22. GTST is right (from my experiences). The fluttering is from air being forced back out through the turbo and back out the inlet track. The adjustable BOV will make the noise only becuase they have been adjusted too tight, so they don't actually do anything with low boost - off throttle. J
  23. Cool - I'll give it a go with the water and se what happends. A few months ago I got the ****s with it and actually took it off to see if the fan was causing the sqeak. But stupid me took the fan off (four nuts) and then started the motor !!! Forgetting to put the four bolts back on the pulley flew off at some supersonic speed !!!! The belt came off too (of course) and the squeak stopped. But I'll try the water trick. Thanks J :burnout:
  24. When I start the car up in the morning, the clutch fan will squeak pretty loudly for the first 10-15 minutes of driving. After 15 minutes it's smooth and you don't hear it at all. Anyone else have this problem? The car has never gotten hot, so it seems to be working OK. It's just embarrasing when your car is squeaking it's head off. I've been thinking about going to a thermo fan, but if it's an easy fix I'd rather do that and spend the money on mods Thanks J
  25. Recently going from $93 almost bald tyres on the back to brand new $200 tyres I can honestly say that it didn't matter how controlled I was at applying the throttle, there is no way that the old tyres could get me to 100km/h as fast as the new ones. Not trying to flame anyone here - but I know I had traction problems with the old tyres. But your right, throttle control with high power cars (or bikes )makes a load of difference.
