  1. silver 34 gtt with i think bronze wheels and one hell of a screamer pipe. made a lot of noise but didnt move very quickly!
  2. Im pretty sure AMS keeps the specs pretty close to their chest. thats one hell of a delivery! Its like christmas all over again...until you look at the hole in the account! I was only watching videos of the alpha 10 kit and black gtr in the US. very very impressive...and that was with the race 3.8 not 4L that you have!!
  3. Dont forget that while many believe they have the power for a 10 second run so they will easily complete a 10 second pass. in reality drag racing is not as easy it looks and I can almost gaurentee many will be shocked at their first few runs. If you are asked to park the car for the rest of the even consider it a bragging right! Sounds like a great day. I might come up for the day as a spectator with a few other ACT folk
  4. looks great. My only thought though is shouldnt the sterring wheel and seat be installed to confirm driving position before all the main hoops etc rest in their final spot? I love hoe this car has gone from mildly tuned to a complete all out build. Cant wait to see it at WTAC
  5. to really show commitment to weight reduction i feel a billet block and heads with lightweight titanium internals are a must great to see such a high level build being documented. Im sure speed hunters will be all over it soon!
  6. not the cheapest but also not the most expensive but i always used Tony (Fridge) from Eurotow 0408 487 385. my car was towed back and forth between workshops and sydney for 3 years with Tony. He also has a large enough flat bed and adjustments to get even stupidly low cars like mine off untouched!
  7. i wouldnt expect anything less
  8. perhaps some carbon ceramic rotors are needed for a little further rotational weight savings! specv option rotors?
  9. grey 32 gtr with no spoiler and black perspex plates was behind me and then it was in front lol i was in the black rork ute. very neat gtr!
  10. i wouldnt be surprised about the insurance company. they screw them down after they award them the job. thats why most people use 2nd hand parts with repairs. insurance companies encourage it. Just cars tried to tell me the that consistant quotes of $2900.00 for a genuine supra bonnet is false and they could get them for $400.00. I spoke to contacts at Toyota to tell me what their buyers cost was without margin and we could only squeeze it down to $2100.00. After i sent JCI a letter they then agreed to it but went straight to the repairer and told them they would provide the bonnet and deduct that cost from their quote. We've had similar issue with my boss's audi Q7 that was resprayed after some peasant keyed it. Remember KMF is a single man operation. Its a small workshop so it could be just bad timing. thats why i would say wait and orgainse a quote first. Out of all the shops of dealt with along the way he so far takes the win for communication, pricing and results. He is very honest even if something goes wrong!
  11. why not just wait it out. have you emailed him requesting a meeting for a proper quote and discuss lead times? Simply showing up to a workshop for a quote without notice wont get you anywhere especially if they're busy. Naz does great work. He might take a little longer but thats because he actually takes the time to do it right. He wont mask half the car and just start spraying like some. If you're genuinely after a respray and realise that its only sydney rub and spray jobs that are completed in 1 week for less than $2k then Im sure he will listen.
  12. I know someone who just started his own auto elec company. he use to work for the mob across from Newgel but has since gone out on his own. Ill get his mobile number and PM you if you want
  13. $103 for CAMS licence which last 12 months and will enable you to join hill climbs and more. hardly a big cost in the realm of modified cars and if you join 1 or 2 events its paid for itself. I bet you sustain high rpm on the street longer then what you would for a 1km run. its not boucing off the limiter in each gear you simply get to rev through each gear. with a factory limiter set and mild mods your not going to blow things up. infact id be more concerened about the force of the wind on bodykits etc for realtively standard cars. they obviously dont want cars running super high speeds eg 350+ as they wont allow burnouts so obviously less chance of people running full slicks etc certainly hope this event becomes an annual event!!
  14. haha not on a stock motor
  15. Im trying to negotiate with the missus as this is her birthday haha im positive without taking wind etc into consideration my car would top out at 280-290km/h due to gearing.
  16. great article in PI magazine!!! Such an amazing car and the photos look brilliant!

  22. hmmm thats one hell of a turbo range
  23. what single are you planning?
  24. put some GSC s2 cams in the supra also would you put a set of ID2000s in to run e85? the t04z is a great street set-up! but i think the gt42 is better haha
  25. *in a vin disel voice* not a bad way to spend $150k!! You sir have just jumped into one of top ten car builds of all time. cudos to taking such a fantastic base and making it even better! Im sure this will stir many jealous souls. the end result should put this car to the standards or if not higher then the infamous mines vehicles. cant wait to see the results! please send my condulances to your wallet...but thank it at the same time!!
