  6. i hear ya mate!
  7. i take it the qsr nsx is coming. this should be interesting. while i am not a fan of the sex spec show cars some of them certainly have had some big $$$ spent on them and after all we're all modifiers. i guess when you look back at last year. the idiot in the wanky 200sx one best car or whatever it was and that was a wanna be sex spec car.
  8. Did you speak to ESP. Dan one shaft master too...
  9. yep. you guys moved in after the supra went under the knife. plus work car is cheaper haha
  10. The exhaust is part of the sp racing big twin sequential turbo system which can make the car see 6-700nm @ as low as 3000rpm. It's basically a mental redesigned version of the standard supra set-up! Only downside is that each car is fabricated from scratch so no kits available and that there is a significant amount of pipe work involved. This car tested it's potential to be installed on a rhd vehicle.
  11. you should see my car...Rork interiors ute haha
  12. always spot tristians 32 everyday
  13. There was a ton of research involved in this car. The reason it went to the US is shops in the US are light years ahead of Australia. It was sent to someone that could be trusted to complete work above anyones expectations. Im not sure why people are saying that anyone can hand over money and have a great car. I would say more than most modified cars here are completed by workshops. some people do work on their own and complete some great work but this is few and far between. The Australian industy is full of shonks so why not utilise the high skills of overseas companies. I know if i was to do my project over i would have no hesitation sending it to the US. Obviously we do have some great workshops here that will help and i have been fortunate to find a couple of those but the bads ones out weigh the good ones! For those who havent even looked through the threads corretly before having a jealous sook, look again. This car is finished. it was built over 2 full years in the US. The car is back in Australia and has been driven on the road a lot. Obviously this is not something to go grocery shopping in but lets face it most projects never are. end rant... BACK TO TOPIC!
  14. why not go to uni and complete a degree in mechanical engineering? this type of degree will enable you to chase your possible dream but also provide firm grounding for other possible careers avenues. My first job was retail. i then moved into hospitality where i managed a few football clubs, night clubs etc, then i wanted to go into advertising. 2 units later i was back behind bars loving the high after hours cash pay. i was then offered a small role in the company I now work for. We're a small comercial construction company where i work as senior estimator, business delepoment manager and project manager for commercial construction projects up to 10 million. As you can see things change. Keep your mind open and try get involved with as much as possible. But remember practical skills are fantastic however when it comes down to applications you must provide written evidence like a degree. This is why Im back at uni completeing my degree now 6 years out of school. I have the referees, experience etc but now the piece paper is vital to continuing to climb the ranks of larger organisations.
  15. 345s on the rear are the only way my friend!
  16. you all just need to see how it all unfolds...you wont see another import in australia thats genuinely street driven and modified even close to the level of this car. just remember everything down to remade standard wiring looms direct from japan to the tiniest of washers have been replaced with 100% toyota parts. any parts not toyota are only the highest of quality and even some of the most exclusive parts avaliable on the market are on this car!
  17. about time it was in performance magazine!!
  18. So what awards are there for the show and shine bit. obviously power associated ones are for the dyno. does king of JDM need to be on the dyno too

  20. care to share the final outcome? I love car dealers. the lies they will tell you to your face is amazing. when searching for a car it always worth a laugh to go look in the yards but buy else where haha one place here in phillip tried to tell me that their black 35 gtr they had on the lot for 160k was a specv. when i said if it is consider it sold as i will be able to on sell it for at least 100k profit he walked away lol
