    I have a Gates timing belt as well and yep - noisy (whurrwhurr - haha), although mainly after the engine has been running for an hour or so. This is common with Gates belts

    Keep in mind: Excessive blow-by can cause a positive pressure in the crankcase which can, in turn, lead to seals leaking due to the excessive pressure felt at the seal. This doesn't necessarily mean perished seals.

    Try simple things first, like getting a different igniter to see if it solves the issue - common faults.

    Brand new, genuine boots can be picked up from RHDjapan.com for a hell of a lot less than you will find here in Aus

    Any exhaust shop can usually weld up leaks or use a special wrap that seals the pipe. Shouldn't need a new muffler/tip or anything, unless the hole is massive. If the muffler has completely broken off then it can be simply welded and reattached, just get the pros to do it, won't cost too much. Hope this helps

    Try RHDjapan.com for a relatively cheap genuine GTR gearshift knob. You should be able to get one landed for less than $80, thats about as cheap as you will see for a brand new genuine item. Aussie suppliers, unfortunately, are around double that. Hope this helps.

    Yeah that perfectly suited my old plans for the car, but now something more suited to driving to work every single day is the plan LOL - so even if someone has a set of N1/2860-7's or preferably GT-SS/-9 that they are wiling to swap, with the correct cash difference, then I am all ears!

    yeah that would be right as the engine is under no load whilst out of gear, over 4500rpm and the the engine is under a decent amount of load
