  1. Why is it most people with hondas think ther cars can drag off any other turbo car on the street? esp the ones that own integras.... If a turbo prelude was really that great then why arent there hundreds of them around? why doesnt anyone race them professionally? because there crap compared to GTRs And to Turbz who started the post... just get good sticky compound tyres and some good tuned in suspension and if your not confident off the drag strip then race that STI from a rolling start...like somone above suggested...60-140 should resolve it
  2. If yours hovers around 2-4 while driving warm..im sure thats normaly what it should be, Mine wasnt going over 2 while cruising on the motorway or watever revs i gave it, but this chops and changes everytime so ill post a reply when i get my oil pressure gauge..as soon as money permits! Btw i would be interested to know if the oil light does come on if a pump is stuffed or stuffing up...not if your engine has no oil haha
  3. Yea it doesnt feel like that would be enough tho...im using the factory black hose off the original pump...like other people have in the picture...and it hangs down exactly as far as the other pumps do compared to the bottom of where the cradle has been cut.... So i really dont know what im doing wrong here...have just spent hours trying to put it in and it really doesnt want to fit...
  4. Ok hey guys...done everything like the write up...but i cant push the cradle back into the two slots were it goes into becuase the pump is too big/long and i cant push it in... The pump is clamped on the cradle...becuase i dont want the pump bumping around in my tank while im driving.... So how the heck did u guys put it in???????????????? it just wont go in like you guys have..unless i unclamp it.......

  6. No longer an issue anyway, it has since been moved into the engine bay. Yea just wondering though as i was wanting to do that with my pod intake...so does it cause a bit of lag?
  7. Would his longer intake pipe going under the engine bay really cause the car to lag?
  8. Na it doesnt come on...going to try get a gauge tomorow...might aswell use this as an excuase to get a oil filter relocation kit while im at it
  9. Hey guys, My rb25det today while i was driving along was reading fine oil pressure on the factory gauge...about 5 on the cold start...then about 3.5-4 when i was cruising at 100 on the motorway at about 2800rpm... But on the trip home it was only reading just a tiny bit over 2 on the gauge....no matter how fast i went...and it idles at just under 2... It seems to be doing this randomly on and off lately... So my question really is wondering if the oil pump is on its way out? its running a standard rb25det oil pump...its done nearly 140,000ks I am doing the car serious damage to the bottom end or any other parts starving it of oil driving it like this arent i? is there any method of checking that its the oil pump or to check what it is causing this? Thanks guys...any help would be appreciated..and yes i did search
  10. Poor aussies and all your heavy restrictions...
  11. rotarys still arent known for there reliability tho...even if there built right compared to a 6cyl rb26
  12. The turbo claims to make 270rwkw on an rb25det...and they have some dynos for it too... i know its still a cheap turbo and a decent turbo is the way to go but i dont have that much to pay for a big pricetag turbo...but i know i shudnt skimp out on somthing so important...but this turbo seems to look like it will do the trick? if what they claim is true.... heres a dyno sheet off there website
  13. Well whats somthing else that could be better spent on the car power wise? i would like some advice!
  14. http://dsrturbo.com/index.php?cPath=73 http://dsrturbo.com/product_info.php?cPath...products_id=108 I know there massive...but would they do anything being that big?
  15. Iv got my rb25det s2 r33 and has 650cc inj, bosch pump, dsr430 turbo, fmic, linkg4 etc Was wondering if straight drop in 272deg. 8.4mm lift camshafts are too big for my setup? Iv tried searching...but doesnt quite make sense to me... what deg cams would i want for my setup? because will 272deg make power too late in the rev range? or...? im hopeing for about 275+ at the wheel... thankyou
  16. I thought and so have read, that the stock head gasket needed replacing when boosting over 1 bar or so?
  17. that brumby is awesome....
  18. Just buy a premade RIPS engine hahaha you'l be sweet then! http://www.ripsltd.com/products.html thats if you have the spare 10g + haha
  19. Just wondering....what kind of head gasket do you need to run to be able to handle that much boost on stock internals?
  20. hahaha would look the business....but would be a bit of an effort to do that id think.....?
  21. Nice power.... But I thought z32 AFM cant read anything after 260rwkw? And how much psi were u running to get that sort of power?
  22. Really? ill check them today...hope its somthing simple like that... fingers crossed!
  23. hahahah the v10 one they have got on other videos sounds a bit whiney and tinny i think
  24. I dont think mines just dead...i think its either faulty or its my car...considering the hand controller and its functions work...and well seem to be working?? yip the fuel pump is working...and its just the standard one so i havent messed around with it yet...the sensor check on the hand controller says its working right too.... Im from auckland in NZ so im trying to find somone i know with an r33 that i can try it on... Would a shop be able to plug it into a laptop and find out the problem inside the pfc if its faulty? This is a bit of a disaster...
  25. Yea...under my steering wheel is a huge mess of wiring...the guy that had the car before me had tapped into all kinds of ignition wires for the boost controller and gauge and turbo timer etc...and whoever did the alarm has done a shocking job...but everything works...but could the power fc be fussy about this?
