  1. Took the afm plug out...and no luck with it starting, i took a closer look at the ecu...its got a slight little faded strip of see through japanese symbols just under and half on the "g8" sticker... dont know what it means or if it could be from somone having played with it or even chipped it? but its so insignificant i doubt its anything to worry about it... But having a chipped ecu wouldnt cause it to not start with the pfc would it? Oh and is it possible somthing wired up to the ignition or somthing wired up wrong is causing the power fc to not want to start? Thanks for your help guys
  2. Im actually from NZ so duno how many people on here are from nz...i really want to find somone with a r33 like mine and see if itl start that. Im going to try that now... and my stock ECU has a "G8" sticker on it...doesnt look like its been tinkered with...or is there any other stickers
  3. Yea it starts up with the factory ecu
  4. Yea i already reset it to its default settings many times...not working....this is such a pain!
  5. maybe the ecu is stuffed....i took the ecu out and the car dash lights and everything turns on and works, and the car even turns over all without an ecu plugged in....so it works the same as having no ecu when the power fc is plugged in except the hand controller works.... how do u tell if the ecu is stuffed?

I checked the fuses...every single one...there all fine and i had those engine controll the "missing fuse" already in my fuse box and checked it and it wasnt blown or anything...checked the ones in the engine bay, and also the onese in the boot...there all fine... but there was one fuse i have missing the 2nd from top right hand corner called A/T 10amp one, but a fuse wont go into it because there is nothing hooked up to it.... so dont think thats to worry about? Ive opened up the ecu aswell to check if its blown or anything...cant see anything...but the hand controller or anything wouldnt work would it if the ecu is stuffed would it? car sounds so close to fireing up but just keeps turning over...any other ideas?

  8. Ive been reading through your pfc faq but i cant seem to find out were it says which particular fuse in the faq like u said above, should i be looking for missing fuses in my fuse box in my dash, aswell as the ones in the boot and in the engine bay?

With my car...i warm it up for about 20seconds..reverse out and take it easy etc but the factory water gauge doesnt hit the normal warm mark untill about 10mins later and about 5km and thats with me having driven up a hill, up and down streets, and even gone on the motorway for about 3km So is there possibly somthing wrong with my thermostat? or is it usual for rb25det r33 to take this long to warm up Oh and i know the factory water temp gauge isnt the best at telling if the cars warm or not and theres also oil temp to consider when a car is fully warm, but am just wondering here...
  10. AF-1 is 0.22v 02-1 is 0.4v WTRT is 3.48v TPS is missing??? i dont see it on there... NTR is on...got the black dot filled in My bost is at 0.00v is that a problem? Actually ill write them all up>> AF-1: 0.22V THRO: 0.45V BOST: 0.00V WTRT: 3.48V 02-1: 0.04V EXTM: 5.00V IGN: black dot on STR: off A/C: off PWS: off NTR: on ECC: on WRN: off EXT: off F/P: off FP1: off but voltage goes on when i try start it VTC: off 02H: off ACR: off Sorry i couldnt take a picture, hopefully this might help
  11. How do i tell if its a series 1 or 2 ecu? It turns over but just doesnt fire up
  12. Yeah iv checked my earths and power....the handcontroller and everything else comes on but the car wont start.....

I have googled this many times and read all the power fc instructions etc and guides, But i have just installed my Power fc and the car wont start, its a rb25det r33 s2 Its the right model and comes up as rb25det on the hand controller, ive turned the boost controller kit off, and i have reset it many times and the car just wont start, The senor check shows no warnings or flashing lights so everythings ok there, Could it be the earthing? or would that not make the hand controller work? or the powering etc? how do you check? Iv run out of ideas...im worried iv brought a 2nd hand lemon and dont want to take it to a shop quite yet unless its my only option now? im worried its faulty! thankyou,, your help is really appreciated!

  15. Yea i was meaning adjustable cam gears sorry! Is somthing like http://www.nengun.com/tomei/adjustable-cam-pulley any good? would i get any good gains out of having adjustable cam gears? or are they a waste of time without cams to go with it? Oh and doesnt vct need a controller because installing new cam gears disable it? thankyou

Ok Ive been looking at getting my car the big dyno tune my sochi in NZ at st hitech...hes a good tuner and well known, so he should be able to give me a good tune, So iv got so far in my s2 rb25det FMIC, 3" straight through exhaust, Some cheap unknown fuel pressure reg. external wastegate, and a dsr430 turbo with standard manifold, Greddy profec b spec 2 And the following i havent put in yet my power fc, hi flowed 650cc injectors, z32afm And i was wondering wether to go with a bosch fuel pump or a nismo one i know a mate whos selling that came off a gtr running two of them with 650 atw...aparently there better then walbro and bosch but i dont know...? so was thinking go for the bosch. But onto the main point! i was wondering if a should get any adjustable cams...iv seen on the net that people get some good gains out of them....iv seen tomei cams suggested as a good upgrade but they are quite expensive but are good quality, but what about cheap no name cams? like http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-270396498.htm or are they a big no no? theres plenty of them around And what sort of power can i get out of new cams with this kind of set up? is it even worth it?   17. Kinda noob question here... but i was wondering... would a decent tune with a decent ecu and uprated fuel pump, injectors etc make a gt35 less laggy or would it be un-noticeable? or not make a difference because of the size of it in the first place?

Nope i just had another look and the only numbers on the turbo are of the ones i took the photo of... so if your saying this isnt a performance turbo...because arent the k27 a performance turbo? so is it still a k27 or....? Im kind of wondering if i can sell this and wanting to see how much i should be wanting for it

  21. Its got some numbers on it so i took a photo of those if they are any help...its got a 4" intake too, i only got told by a workshop when i took it in that they thought it was a gt35...but im not sure
  22. Im sorry but i dont know how big it is or what model the turbo is...ill try and take a picture of it if that helps.... because it wasnt top mounted
  23. wow 290atw? how much boost was he running? oh and was that with the .82 housing? when would that kick in about? Well im happy to deal with the lag...it was bad but i want to get alot of power with what iv already got....and that turbo had it even untuned, as im unhappy with the turbo i have now...but im just unsure... if i did put that big turbo back on and had the same mods as uwissh said...or if a decent tune with the smaller turbo i have now as to which would be better power wise But the smaller turbo im using now is more driveable seeming im not skidding out in every gear like the other turbo

Well iv still got the DSR430 turbo with a .63 exhaust housing... they claim 250kw on a standard rb25 at 1bar with only being tuned http://www.sella.co.nz/motoring/car-parts-...ssories/575cb2/ So might aswell just stick with this and wait to see how the tune comes out? Oh and how much power can stock injectors handle? was thinking i could get them high flowed but if i dont need to i would like to save the money...

Yep...guy i brought it off had it on with stock ecu and stock everything apart from fuel pressure reg and intercooler.... i know i need a tune but would want to sus out my turbos before i get the power fc i just brought tuned in... And would that turbo run any good after the tune with new injectors fuel pump and a z32 etc? Car seems to run fine so im hoping not much damage was done....
