I had trouble finding out the weight of a standard R34 GTT rim.
Lots of sites/people had a guess but I could not find anyone that weighed one.
So today when I had a puncture repaired I took the bathroom scales with me and weighed the rim while the tyre was off.
Bathroom scales may not be the best way to do this but the answer is 11 kilograms or so close it does not matter.
Hopefully this helps the next person looking for this info.
SUCCESS !
This is much appreciated.
I thought it would be something simple once you knew the trick of it.
The kick panel is now off but, as it is about 8 degrees in the shed at the moment, I'll finish the install tomorrow.
Thanks again
Hi, I am installing a Gizzmo EBC to an R34 GT-T.
I have searched and read all about passing wires and tubing through
the big grommit after removing the inner plastic guard of the right front wheel.
My problem (almost embarassed to say - because I am sure it will be simple) is that
I cannot remove the driver side kick panel.
I removed the nut near the accelerator (on the carpet).
I removed the SKYLINE sill and pulled out the rubber strip between the kick panel
and body.
But it does not seem to want to come out and I don't want to force/break anything.
Have I missed a plug or screw somewhere?
I can just see the tip of the coat hanger wire I poked through but cannot get to it unless I remove the kick panel
Thanks in advance
You can certainly get non Tein replacement springs for Tein shocks. I have just had it done on my R34 which had Tein coils that were way to stiff for the street.
They were replaced with King springs - but the same length (I was not looking for shorter).
Anyway - I am not sure where you are located but in Melbourne I went to Centreline in Thomastown and was happy with there advice and service.
Nice tutorial and job Maddowse
I'll save this one for when I do my gauges
Do you think you will try to grt another digital boost gauge to match the others or are you happy with the Drift boost gauge?
Well maddowse, I would be interested in seeing your tutorial and finished product.
Anything you learn on the way can only help others.
I am in the 'planning' stages of what to do with my stock R34 GTT and some mild chages in the interior sound good to me.
I do like the look of scotty014's gauges
