  2. HHHHHHmmmmmm dont mean to be rude but being from NZ i have seen and owned plenty of skylines, i dont think i really want to drive 250kms to look at a car park full of them.(as cool as some maybe) i wish there were track events on Sunday :-(
  3. whats on, on the Sunday? looks like thats the day ill go as long as its not just a show and shine
  4. Put R32/3 4 pots on it if your going to do a brake upgrade, you can use the R32/3 rotors and re drill them. simple!! i drilled my rear tops its easy but each to there own
  5. well is it worth trying to meet up all the r30s and earlier in one spot? just on which ever day suits most?
  6. thats not bad thinking.. i have a small number of bits too works; if you still want that front skirt talk to me
  7. hmmmmm this is not going well lol im only spectating too i may not go however if there are FA oldies going i can see R32-5 anytime.. ps mines not reg ether but iv got a trade plate
  8. lets keep this short... whos coming? what days? and where you lot with all this old j-tin want to meet? i want to see more DR30s!!! my plan is for a Saturday drive up from Mel bone
  9. Cefiro has more support if you want to go drifting.
  10. does it have spring loaded ball joints?
  11. yeah i was well aware of this its just pricey hard to get and you need to make a hybrid wheel bearing i got lazy and drilled holes.. cheaper and now works the same
  12. 5 stud for the back well uuuummmm i drilled it haha, but i fitted bolt on spacers allround which are measured and ballanced so there is no wheel shake/vibration at any speed
  13. if drum sadly not alot you can do easy... if you have disc rear there is not alot of point in a rear upgrade. id only bother if as above you can get an r200 rear end
  14. They have Pedders in the states its a little closer, i can have a look tomorrow for spring part numbers if you would like? that's if you retain your standard shocks.. r31 is live axle in most non import cases so unlikely to fit in the rear, plus its still macpherson strut in the front so no real upgrade at all. other wise yeah s13 stuff can be made to fit but it needs to be coilovers as the standard s13 coil will contact the body here is a conversion to s13 on a r30 if it helps http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=15070 scroll down ps if you have the money to spend its worth every cent Marc
  15. 5 Stud conversion plus running huge spacers (30mm) front lol
  16. cheers bro, there 18x9 and 18x8 speedy cheeters,
  17. Thanks Guys it looks better in pictures lol its not (mint) but ill bring it up to Nationals i hope i can see more DR30s up there
  18. its been a long wile since iv been on this forum but.... lots has been going on with the DR for those not on JNC here..
  19. ok... they will fit in and work perfect if you have coilover McPherson struts ie same as the r31 or r30 had from factory as the pitch is steeper, if however it is a conversion to s13 chapman style struts then you wont get as much camber angle! i can get 3 deg on mine but that is cause mine have an elongated hole in the top of the clevis.. Chur
  20. Dont be so sure its dodgy you want to be very sure before you accuse people of such things.. i agree that he should have fixed the items you asked.. that is if he agreed to fix them.?. but you need to be so careful id just give the seller a call and say nicely "hey just noticed the brakes still felt odd and the oil leak was still there and we agreed to fix them" wait n see what he says. if however you agreed that they would be fixed only if they were rwc items then you must trust they pass, because rwc's are such vague things, how someone interpretates the wording is correct, even if two people interpretate it different. so you really need to discuss with all partys your concerns. a good example is.. interiors i mean the rule is the discretion of the inspector so if he feels its not safe thats it, based on nothing but opinion.. my two cents
  21. and thats the important thing lol it does look ok, but does anyone else think mercedes are becoming one dimensional all there cars look almost the same? might just be me
  22. Hi All, To guys in Melbourne or want to come from interstate i guess.. I have organized for Whiteline Headoffice to come down from Sydney and hold an educational evening at my shop on January the 19th (Wednesday - 6pm) The night will be held by a young genius called Doug who used to design all of the Whiteline products and now looks after all of the national training, so this is an opportunity to soak up some info from a guy who really knows what he is talking about. Doug will be running through some of the products available for your vehicles and how they will affect/improve handling. it will be a very casual evening with heaps of time to ask questions etc we will have some cars on the hoists, product on display snags on the BBQ and beer in the fridge. Ive been to a few training sessions with Doug and they are awesome. the guy is a legend!. there are about 10 saces left so get in quick it is being held at pedders south Melbourne Please post your interest
