Hi All, To guys in Melbourne or want to come from interstate i guess.. I have organized for Whiteline Headoffice to come down from Sydney and hold an educational evening at my shop on January the 19th (Wednesday - 6pm) The night will be held by a young genius called Doug who used to design all of the Whiteline products and now looks after all of the national training, so this is an opportunity to soak up some info from a guy who really knows what he is talking about. Doug will be running through some of the products available for your vehicles and how they will affect/improve handling. it will be a very casual evening with heaps of time to ask questions etc we will have some cars on the hoists, product on display snags on the BBQ and beer in the fridge. Ive been to a few training sessions with Doug and they are awesome. the guy is a legend!. there are about 10 saces left so get in quick it is being held at pedders south Melbourne Please post your interest.

lol hard is good ! the coilovers are also set to full hard big front sway bar! talking about tyre temps etc??? there factory tyres of an sti there road tyres and they cost me nothing!!! i also run 2.5 degrees of negitive camber just to get it turning to be honest i understand where you are coming from but its not luxury car its my own old school torge car. i dont care about bouncing out of my seat in town as long as it looks good and blitzes the corners when i take it to the hills. like you say each to there own.
-
i have 2 sets of tyres, i intend to put on 235/35or40?/18 semi slicks i got of a 2010 STI there a 9 inch rim so they will be stretched on.. there a dish type old school wheel 0 offset they fit fine as iv tested them they should look really good (they are not in anyway a modern wheel!

So its been a while since iv posted but iv been busy etc anyhow for those of you who know my car will be aware it has been converted to S13 Suspension.. and most will be aware this creates an issue with tie rods not fitting!! after loads of ideas iv finally just took a punt and just used a die grinder to re shape the arms and well it was a resounding success!! it drives perfect im very happy to finally sort it all out !!! the next step is going to be finally sorting out my 5 stud conversion as i have my 18s still sitting in my house waiting to go on.. i took some photos to

the calipers will bolt up but you will need to measure the back space/offset and internal size of the rotor to make sure it fits then you can get the rotors re drilled if you have a quick searh there is lots of info on this chur Marc

Wtb Dr30 Fj20et Dipstick, Or Measurements
FJ20DR30 replied to Heatw's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Sorry here goes.. from the point the rubber seal sits on the tube to the base of the dipstick is 325mm from base to full mark 42mm that help? Marc -
Im not sure you will get a choice on what it gets reved to?, the guy using the dyno will usually take it to red line so you get a power curve print out, Im not saying this is the case every time but its always been like that when ive done them. just make sure you have plenty of oil in it id say over fill it by half a liter and it will be just fine there a strong old engine.

FJ20DR30 replied to works 510's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
i have one in Melbourne. its my spare but i dont need it how much are you offering? -
I wish i could mate, but the car is not road worthy or registered at this point.
-
Wait until you see it with the new wheels first... ill post a picture once iv fitted them up to it
-
as the wheels them selfs are mint and the tires are ok i was thinking 900ish? they will be available once my new wheels arrive in a couple of weeks. Marc
-
Huh? Pcd = 4x114.3 offset = +10 Width is 7 or 7.5 i cant remember exactly sorry ill have to double check.. tires are 50% tread 215/45/17 front and 225/45/17 rear
-
+10 offset.. yes they will fit.... and best of all there for sale
-
hi yeah sre did thanks and done cheers mate no spacers, correct offset wheels +10 from memory Thanks
-
the bonnet was white i sprayed it matt black for 2 reasons firstly cause white would have really looked wrong and you cant spray can red as it looks gastly all different colours and shades come out.. my intention is to panel and paint the car once i have it right ie all parts fitted and working how i want... for the cooling side of things iv not noticed much (it is winter) but my guess would be it may actually improve the cooling as its now how the factory designed the front end.. the bonnet well in not sure guess id sell it but dont anticipate much interest in it to be fair as for 1/4 mile times and the engine work.. im not sure sorry, the engine was all complete when i got it.. as its not making huge power currently the only benifit iv seen from this work is the extra torque this car makes, its savage from very early on right through to 8000rpm but you really can tell she has lots more to give. here is a pic i used on JNC i really like this one here is a before and after shot
-
ok bonnet now fitted
-
im not sure exactly which type you mean but here is a couple of pictures of the ones made by Adthree. there common on series 1 dr30s sedan Wagon with them on the rear only just incase you where unsure of what they look like Cheers
-
yep got it Dennis i have an s13 front end now and turns out i had a set of 5 stud front hubs fitted to an old r30 sedan i brought years ago back in NZ so with some luck ill just fit those r30 hubs to the s13 stubs on the car.. clear as mud lol as for the rear i have z31 stubs but from what i undersand i still need to change the rear bearings to fit them, so i may just redrill them instead. undecided at this point. by the way there still old school wheels just 5 stud not 4 they will look great on it wait n see Marc
-
mate i have a set of genuine r30 Adthree ones there very rare. not perfect cond but not bad, they need to be double sided taped or eurathaned on
-
i know im banging on with this a bit but by chance does anyone know if the R30 front stub axles are the same as s13 stub axles? ie will a R30 hub fit on an S13 stub? thanks for any help Marc
