  1. Hi Guys Looking at an 02 250 GT at the moment to replace the good old GT8. Found this one, freshly imported with original 'shaken' docs. -18" Rims - Fujitsubo Exhaust - Nismo Suspension Needs registration in WA. Can any of you see a possible issue with it? Managed to get it down to $14,500. Everything looks good outside and in. What do you guys think? Is this a fair price?
  2. Hi guys What processes are involved when we tune the car? Is it something we can do ourselves or will need a tuner shop to do it? Lately I feel like the car is losing power. Late reaction when I step on the pedal to accelerate, ticking noise when idle, poor fuel mileage. And how does one adjust the cars timing? I can see and temporarily adjust it with my blazt tool, but the changes are gone as soon as the car is turned off.
  3. Farrr...two loud boom?! That's seriously dangerous. I hope you get all your money back in the end. And I hope they scrap that car too....
  4. Ouch Sorry to hear about that man. How exactly is it running worse? Is the original problem still there? ( shifts erratically etc?) How much did it cost for the oil change? That's a good indicator on whether or not they put in the correct fluid. EDIT: BTW, i found a place in china where you can source a speed sensor for $80 delivered. Ordered one just in case i need it in the future.
  5. Hey I pretty much have the same setup. I ran 3 5M USB extension lead from the boot to the glovebox at the front. The blazt is connected to one of the port. No problems whatsoever. It's just as responsive as when you hook it up straight to a laptop
  6. Hi Jo By servicing do you mean changing the oil or repairs? What was the outcome of your previous problem? Did it turn out to be the speed sensor?
  7. Also, I actually forgot to mention that the JVC deck does not come with harnesses, if anyone is still interested let me know and i can ship one over from the states.
  8. No problem. I seriously think these should be stickied. Too much useful information and tutorials like these just float around and get buried after a while.Keep up the good work champ!
  9. Good tutorial man, we need more of these here! Should be a section here for diys here too. Thanks!
  10. Hi Guys Haven't been here for a while, how are you guys? Anyways, i thought i might share with you guys my second attempt at installing a car pc. Even though the first time installed ok, i kinda think i was just pushing it a bit by force mounting the lcd on the dash pocket. This time i got a double din LED and took out the head unit. Looks a lot more cleaner and i can view it under direct sunlight! I'm still using the eeepc setup and still saving up for a proper pc with dc to dc psu. At the moment i'm using a Metra double din kit, which IMO is a little tacky and the buttons are a pain to press. But that's all i could afford back then. Major improvements over the old setup include : OBD gauges, Bluetooth, Soundblaster X-FI (made a whole lot of difference to the audio quality) direct wiring instead of cigarette lighter plug , and the latest version of Centrafuse (3.5) Some technical specs for those of you interested: - Lilliput EBY701 + ByByte double din frame - eeepc 901 , 2gb ram, 64GB kingspec ssd - SB X-Fi Pro USB Soundard - Blazt II OBD Scanner / reader - Sirf III GPS dongle Btw, my old JVC AVX-910 is now for sale. For anyone interested PM me, Price : $400 Ono. This baby can play most files no worries and have an excellent audio quality. Originally bought 2 years ago for $750. Pics at the bottom OLD SETUP NEW SETUP JVC DECK FOR SALE Comments, suggestion ,critics are welcome !
  11. Sorry man , I've already got an offer for that much with local pickup. Cheers

  12. Ok. Sorry i haven't been able to update the shipping price. been busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest <---- Found that on Google Shipping is $25 Regular Anywhere in AU So take it off my hands please people..
  13. Sorry mate, they're sold. I think so. Let me get a proper dimension and weight of the package so i can give you a quote on postage. I'll get back to you soon. Cheers
  14. I'm putting everything back to stock. Even my springs. Over the modding phase I guess.. Install is easy once you've done it a couple of times. Edit: come to think of it, it's actually easy from the start. With the right guide, anyone can install it
  15. Definitely for sale now guys! Just cleaned it too Also will fit it in for free if you come around to my place. Price cut : $140
  16. Iive installed a carpc on mine too. G33K is right, the only properly working obdii scan tool is BlaZt. All gauges work only with NDS (Nissan Data Scan) 1.3. It comes a as a bundle when you buy the adapter. I'm beta testing the 1.4 now and man, it's got soo much potential. Can even unlock control your interior lighting even turn off the beeps. All from the software. The only downside for me, is that it can't read codes off my tcu/tcm since i got a gt8. I'm in Perth and willing to help anyone to install a car pc on their Vs if they're keen
  17. Not really. You do hear the difference in the engine tone. But from outside you can definitely hear the difference. And at 4k+ rpm, there's a hiss that it makes. Kinda awesome. I'm gonna miss it hehehe
  18. Hey Guys Been a while since i checked in. I was thinking of selling my Pop charger + Z Tube. SInce i'm not really aware of the current market price, i just wanted to know if anyone is actually interested in buying it. But i I know the rule is to specify a price, so honestly, i'll be happy with $150 for both. I'll also throw in a set of K&N Filter oil and charger with it. You'll also get the heat shield which i've used from day one. Currently it's still hooked up in my car. The pop charger itself has dents because of shipping damage when i bought it from the states but it dodesn't affect performance. Perth pickup is preferred cause you'll spend heaps just for delivery. Check the pictures out and throw me an offer guys. Here's my mob : 0401802149 Doddy
  19. Ok. Is the car a GT8 or 5sp Auto? Mine is a GT8. So while i'm sure it's exactly the same electrical wise,i can only give you advice based on my transmission. I'd say that because the Speed Sensor code is at the top of the list might as well give that a fix first. I recommend taking it for a test drive with the scan tool hooked up and logging the input from the speed sensors and the solenoids. When the problem occurs and the car goes to limp mode you'll definitely see what's causing it in the scan tool. In my case the speed sensor started going haywire and giving erratic data to the ecu. That's why my car went to limp mode. The speed sensor is located outside of the transmission housing itself. You need to have good access to the bottom of your car. The input is at the front and output (most likely the culprit) is at the back. You can't miss it. If you wanna take a shot at fixing this your self firstly check the harness and continuity for the speed sensor (a multimeter would help) if you can rule this out then call any nissan dealer in your area and get a hold of this part : 31935 - 5P002 (Vehicle Speed Sensor) Picture attached. The input and output uses the same part. So you can swap the input and output if one doesn't fix the problem. This should set you back at least $300. Goodluck, post back when you have problems/result
  20. Mine is disconnected too. I opened it up and there's two wires just sitting there. Anyone knows how to reconnect it?
  21. No. I got my mechanic to do it since i didnt want to over/under torque it. Took him 10 minutes so i reckon it was pretty straight forward.
  22. Bob It sounds similar. But my tacho will go up as high as I want to rev it. My gear will get stuck in 2 or 3. While u may have a speed sensor problem, it could be something else as well. My suggestion is take it to a good mechanic with a good scantool that's able to talk to the ecu/tcm. It should pull up a code You need that code to go on. Don't make the same mistake I did and try to guess the problem. Btw the speed sensor is located on the gearbox itself. There's two of em. Input and output. Goodluck let us know how u go
  23. Well I just changed my plugs today as well. First attempt. Took me an hour and fifteen. Like most of you , I found a bit of oil on the plug closest to the passengers side. Might try the silicone fix when I have time later. The old plugs were extremely worn and black as charcoal. The tips are all rounded. Guess my car's done more than what the odo says. Glad I changed them. The check engine light doesn't turn on. I made sure all the plugs were correctly plugged in. Car's definitely runs a lot smoother now on idle and run. The performance gain is very noticeable. Maybe because of how worn out the old plugs were. Part cost : $65
