Hey guys, i just bought a evo 7 and it came with the HKS coilovers(see attachments) , the previous owner said he lost all the adjuster kits... the coilovers are currently too tough for me and im wondering whether i can tune it a bit softer without those damper adjuster kits? likes use some other subsitutions? are there any where i can get these damper adjuster kits from in Perth? are they work like the other coilover that turn clock wise for hard and counter clock wise for soft? and im assuming the adjuster kits for adjusting height are universal for every coilovers right? beforehand guys

The Car Always Going To A Side When Hands Not On The Wheel?
ryan_perth replied to ryan_perth's topic in Western Australia
thanks everyone. the tyre pressures is good, and they are continental, so shouldn't because of the tyres i think. i know the road got camber, but even it drive on a really flat surface that every car can go straight, it just can't. he did a 4 wheels alignment 3 weeks ago at WESTATE AUTOBAHN in Newcastle Street, Perth. we droped the car there and 3 hours later they call my friend siad the car is ready to pick up and it is all good. they didn't point out any thing at all...and the car still going to the left... castor rod bushes haven't been changed. they can be contributed to this problem as well? cheers, ryan -
my housemate's r34 got a problem cause the car not going straight when hands off, it's going to the left. he brought the car with this problem since 2 years ago. he changed all new tyres and suspensions, and did a 4 wheels alignment recently, but the problem still don't go away. the car should not been crashed and don't have any damage on the body. anyone has any idea what's causing this problem and how to get rid of it? cheers, ryan

yes mate, its for my 34 sedan. are you also got a sedan 34? i thought brand and no brand won't make much different.. but now i konw im wrong and thank you for that. i've found a front pipe today and it's a hks one. now im still looking for a cat back. i've been to JPC 1 month ago and they said they don't have any exhaust for 34 at the monent. and i went to KPY this afternoon and they said they don't have one as well.. so im looking for a brand new one now. any recommend what brand and where should i get the r34 cat back exhaust, and normally who much will it cost? and one more short question: is it r33 gtst cat back exhaust definitely won't fit my r34? cheers, ryan -
im thinking to get a 2nd hand turbo back exhaust for my 34 gtt. it doesn't have to be a good brand but have to be in good condition. anyone has any idea where i can get one? or anyone has a spare one and happy to sell? cheers

$100-250 for a 2nd hand one if you can find one. my friend bought a good cond 2nd hand one mths ago for $150

Cool, thx guys. That's really help

so will it loss a little bit of power as less air get into the cylinders and fuel not been burn completely? and also increase fuel consumption as well? i was thinking to get a NEO before, but i heard that i should at least get a boost controller and turbo back exhause in order to install a NEO as mine is all standard with a pathetic end-piece exhause, and also some high performance sparking plugs might needed associating with the NEO. that would definitely cost me over $2000, not be able to get that money recently.. i really wanna get a turbo back exhause first, any ideas where can i get one for my 34? better be a 2nd hand one, im a poor guy...
-
I'm not sure whether there is a backfire, but sounds a bit like. Anyway, it's cool as long as it won't do harm to the car. Cheers guys
-
hi guys, i installed a 2nd hand hks ssqv in my r34 gtt 2 days agos. now, it sounds like a backfire coming out from the exhause. my friend told me that would be the blow off got old, and the spring or something in the bolw off is weak, so cause the back fire. is that ture? if it is, how does the bov cause the back fire? and will this hurt the turbo or some other parts in my car? or i can just ignore it? thanks.

Learnt. Thanks so much guys!

i used to think so, but when i went to the mechanic he suggest me to get some new suspension first...
-
thx guys. any one can tell me thats the prices of HSDs and bilsteinset? bcoz i got limited budget...
-
ok. I see. Any one has a idea that which suspension should I buy for my 34 gtt? Budgeted around $1500. I can't stand on my orginal suspension any more, it slant a lot when I make a turn
-
Is it really that shit? One of my frd had one on his r33. only cost him $1300 including install. He said it's pretty good for that price. I sat in his car once, and yeah that it's better than my orginal one, but still not as good as I think coilovers should be. He said becoz his ones is the r1 model, if I get the better model it'll be much better and won't be too expensive as those famious brand. He said it's more competable. Is it real? Or any one has a better suggestion? Budgeted around $1500. Cheers

hi guys, anyone heard about the "standard" suspension? i don't mean the standard suspension which the car orginally has, but a brand called "standard". i think it's a new brand, not so many people know about it. http://www.stdsuspension.com/suspensions.html im just thinking to get one of this for my r34gtt. is it a good brand? and which model should i pick (not for track) ? cheers
