  3. well it isnt the alarm, just try a replacement control unit and still worked fine. i think my ecu is buggered is there any way to check this? aside from the fact my cd player turns on and off with my indicators? which has never happened before
  4. hey guys i've got a r33, 95 and i've had it off the road for while. i rego'd it today and drove it around for a few hours really smooth everything fine. Afterwards i decided to try and swap my alarm from active mode (arms itself after 30 secs) to passive mode (controller arms it only) now its a really easy job to do you just move a jumper up one space. though after doing my car won't start now for some reason?!?! the starter motor still cranks all electrics work (though the hazards will flash 18 times after trying to start it leading me to think the immobilisers is fkd?) i unplugged all the alarm, still same response. is there a easy way to bypass the immobilisers? oh its a steele mate alarm too ( 2 point alarm with 3 way immobilisers fuel, starter, spark?) this is what it looks like thanks in advance

  6. 130 xxx Km · Was used as a daily driver and registered for about a year · Had full 100 xxx Km service (water pump, gates timing belt, iridium spark plugs, head gasket, front mount intercooler, intake system cleaned out, dyno'd and tuned) · Full coil over suspension, Front strut bar, upgraded coil packs · Deep dish mags (wider tyres at back) mags on front · 2.5 full exhaust (B EER system) with tip · New thermostat, thorough coolant flush and injector clean · Thorough engine oil flush (only used synthetic Top brand Oil) · Dual stage Boost controller (set at a max of 15 PSI) · Boost tacho (not stupidly oversized like most others) · New AFM and K and N air pod filter · New horn · Front tyres 90% rear tyres 75% · 5 speed manual · Usb/mp3/cd player with sony front speakers and left over wiring for amp and sub · Power steering, power windows, aircon/climate control (still cold) · Dark legal tint all over · Alarm with trip comp, central locking, touch sensor and even talks (says armed/disarmed) · Rear spoiler, body kit It has some small scratches in the paint where some dickhead has keyed it and one of the arm rests needs to be repainted (stripped it to repaint it as the old paint became tacky) also has some small cracks in the paint above the exhaust. Not currently registered can get rwd worthy and rego for extra Can provide pics of the small scratches/arm rest upon request Regretful sale only selling due to starting university and not being able to keep 2 cars registered. I haven't trashed it, has only small modifications. $7000 NEG Hamish [email protected] 0430 361 533 http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a60/amnisty/skyline/005.jpg will post pics soon
  7. when i changed my coilpacks, i didnt clip the loom/wiring harness into one of the coilpacks properly and after a while it wiggled free and lost connection. therefore a cylinder stop firing took me ages to realize what i'd done wrong and i just got a flat blade and clipped the tag into it properly. also check your afm plug ect
  8. make sure you have them clipped into the clips properly (i had to use a flat blade screw driver to lever up the plastic tags to clip mine in properly) also i've been told if you've degreased your engine or something lately over the rocket cover that the oil/crap can fall down and short your plugs or some shit. but its most likely your coils or you've f**ked the gap up
  9. checked the fuel filter, changed it (it was clogged up to shit house), cleaned and sprayed the AFM and pod filter. Added some "nitrous" brand in tank fuel injection cleaner. turned the car over still doing it revs between 2500 - upwards misses or something just drops out of rev for a split second tries to catch up to where you were revving it than cuts out again and so forth. changed spark plugs with iridium expensive ass ones (original spark plugs were f**ked), and brought new super spark coil packs. turned over still doing it!?!?!? Is there anything else that could be the problem i'm running out of money and need to get the car going. had another look under it and noticed a little bit of oil from the turbo (could this be a turbo related problem) or do i need to buy a new AFM? should i just take it to a mechanics? (will be expensive as i will have to tow it back and forth) if anyone knows of any good skyline mechanics or friends in logan help would be greatly appreciated!
  10. not really like it would drive completely fine for one miniute reving all the way. than the next you'd put your foot down and the revs would just continue to drop than cut back in for a split second and drop. and than it would kick back in and drive normally for a bit longer (happened around 3-4000rpm) could be the AFM though, I'm going to replace the fuel pump and check the AFM. ALso if it is the AFM what am sposed to do? just replace the air/fuel mixture sensor unit? are they expensive? or can i open it up and check out the joints (i'm a 4th year apprentice electrician)
  11. hey, i was just driving to band practise this afternoon and my skyline started jerking under acceleration (felt like it wasnt getting enough petrol even though my foot was pushed down). So after this i babied it home, it than started doing the same thing just at 60kms at around 3000rpmish. I pulled over checked the engine bay and everything wasn't leaking (aside for a bit of caked oil around the turbo manifold) I had to pull over again and let it idle, this time it actually died, so i started it again and it started find kept its idle fine. So i continued to drive home and it would do the same thing where it would jerk (felt like the engine was being starved of fuel) at 60ish. So I'm new to skylines but i'm fairly sure this is a fuel pump issue. Though about a month ago i came home and the car wouldnt idle one day after a bit of a drive and idle really radically going from 500rpm almost stalling and back up to 2000rpm ect. only lasted about 10 seconds though. Would this be my injectors? (pretty sure its still the stocko injectors) and is there a way i can test them at home? Could a dodgy spark plug lead or spark plug do this??? I've just had a major service done last week (belts, pulleys, thermistor, waterpump, timing belt) So i'm pretty sure its definitely the fuel system. thanks in advance hamish
