  1. Yeah you definately need it, it runs (via your bleed valve) to the boost control solenoid/wastegate actuator...mine does anyway.
  2. Leech i had the same issue a week or 2 ago. Just buy a brass nipple from autopro and either bolt it or weld it into the IC return pipe.
  3. Matski, i'd be keen to help, I've got a couple of years experience with c# and have been looking for a project to get into...
  4. Re: Feedback on this kit I've installed this kit (with the blue piping) on my R33, overall i'm pretty happy with it (for the given price). AFAIK quality of both cooler and piping is excellent, and i have no qualms in offering my recommendation. A few points - Timewise, it was about 6 hours to complete. - You seem to have to cut a significant amount of the fan blades off (definately my biggest concern) - The R33 SII did not require any cutting or bending of the chassis rails as per the install guide. - Cutting the hole under the washer bottle is fairly simple, as the metal is thinner than i would have expected and there is plenty of room to move in there with the front bar and inner guard plastic off. - The cooler fit into existing bolt holes as solid and precise. - The 2.5" hose clamps are a bastard to work with, i actually resorted to using to original ones off the stock piping - Bit of a bummer is the std airbox snorkel section no longer fits on past the return pipe, so i have to work out something for that part, probably a cold air feed of some description. - There is no nipple on the return pipe that u can attach a vacuum tube from to go to the boost control solenoid. That is why the red tube is supplied, to pick up vacuum from another source. I got a brass nipple from auto pro and bolted it into the return pipe basically so i could ensure that i was getting the correct boost "signal" for the boost control/wastegate actuator. Works well no detectable leaks... All up, i'm pretty happy with the kit especially for that price. Rob
  5. Put me down for a 33 front brace, thanks.
  6. Sinista, i absolutely agree with that final statement, i'd bet a majority of us have those photos - for me it was a sexy stock Silvia K's, i still love those cars..... On another note while driving around past manuka the on saturday, saw that blue 34 GTR, i know its been done but gawd they are just so damn jaw-droppingly sexy and cranky in the flesh... i know what u blokes have been going on about in the last few months.
  7. Yeah seen a white 34 4 door a few times last week around the belconnen area, has a nice set of wheels and looks pretty damn good. Actually its a real head-turner!

  19. I think the guy i imported it through was being a bit lazy, but he did all those fiddly little bits without a hassle, he put a stock exhaust on so it would pass, then put the cat-back on after it all passed without any extra charge, so it worked out ok. I think they mite have an "understanding" with their local RTA in NSW so those niggly little things go through without a problem. The owners manual is all english, but just has useless crap like a/c and stereo controls
  20. I think it depends which guy you get and what moods he's in as to how picky they will be. Make sure that whatever compliance items are listed in the 045?? paperwork, has actually been done. Mine got picked up for having no "Max 80km/h" sticker on the space-saver, no owners manual and there was some dispute with seat belts, because it is an S2 with the twin airbags apparently the fine print allows for the japanese belts to be retained. Oh yeah and mine had a 3 inch cat back and went 101dB at dickson. If u can, have another person there to witness them do the exhaust noise test, ensuring that they keep the sensor at the correct distance from the end of the pipe.
