  2. White R32 GTR on Flinders Lane this morning, rego 'BPAIN'
  3. If you're prepared to spend 15K I'm sure you can get an R34 GT-T through private sale, with RWC. A bit newer and IMO better looking. Get a StateRoads check for greater peace of mind. But hey, if you like that R33 (and it does look beautiful - love white) then go for it. I'm sure everyone will tell you there's cheaper ones out there. But if spending a couple of extra K's means less hassle and someone you can go back to with minor problems then maybe it's worth it. And as others have said, the condition of the car is a much better indication of how worn it is, the odometer can't be trusted.
  4. I was interested to find out as I work in a related field but then if I type "petroleum engineer japan" into google I see that your forum post comes up as the 7th result. Tells me there aint much out there
  5. Pretty lame policy, just a media stunt. The sort of people who get caught 3x for hoon driving don't care, they drive disposable shitters anyway.
  6. Wow, looks good! Pity my car is already black..
  7. Thanks - will do
  8. Yeah, it's not the bond. They say it's their fee for putting the new lease agreement together. The property is being inspected so it's all going through the proper process. Guess i'll look over our agreement, see if it was in the fine print. But yeah, really just wanted peoples take on who should pay. Never encountered this before.
  9. Ok, my flatmate is moving out and another friend is moving in to take his place. The rental agent says there is a fee ($275) to change the name on the lease. Seems ridiculous but anyway that's not the issue. Who is responsible for paying it? The person vacating the premises? Just interested whether others have encountered this before. Cheers
  10. Yeah for gods sake go the turbo if thats what you want. I haven't driven NA but I really wouldn't want my car to have any less power than its got now If you don't want attention then just keep it looking stock.
  11. Looks aftermarket, I would guess the car previously had some fog or driving lights installed?
  12. Another +1 for Micolour Really looked after my car the way I would if I was doing the work myself
  13. +1 hate it when people spray their dashes but actually looks good Clutch
  14. Aren't these a lot more visible than the ones currently operating in VIC? I guess on the side of a 4-lane road like Dandy they would be a bit harder to spot.
  15. SSV complianced my car about 3 years ago and I found them good to deal with. Honest blokes. Actually dropped by their yard late the other night to check out the Cubes, they have quite a few. Trying to convince my gf to ditch her swift for one
  16. I'm interested, so is she!
  17. As much as I hate penalty systems for hitting other cars (time added, car slowdown etc), I would have thought that's the most effective way of discouraging collisions. A damage system doesn't necessarily penalise the person at fault (eg tapping someones rear quarter panel while your both travelling at 300km/h ).
  18. Yeah as someone said, the 2nd hand market seems really dead. The car is unique so that's a plus, but there seems to be very few people shopping for 34 GTT's locally. I would not buy this and expect to get rid of it quickly.
  19. The latest trailers do seem to show cars flipping... But my feeling is that its a race simulator, not a crash simulator. It is gonna be fun seeing the result of bumping panels during a race but I don't think full on crash damage, loss of panels etc really adds much to the game IMO. You shouldn't be busting up these lovely cars anyway
  20. The worst is when they hold up cars at the lights and you miss your turn!!! See it at the corner of Victoria & Hoddle all the time.
  21. Question.. I haven't played GT5 Prologue but a friend (a GT veteran) says that playing in 'professional' mode with the controller is very hard. Apparently it's like there is little or no self-centering so it's difficult to control. Anyone experienced this? Maybe it's designed for use with a wheel, not a controller.
  22. Ummm I noticed on JustJap that they list Left-hand and Right-hand separately for the R34 badge? Surely they are the same. One of mine got pinched (or fell off) a couple of weeks ago.
  23. I'm glad this game only came up on my radar recently (despite being a diehard GT fan). Painful to see people posting way back in 2008 as if the game was just months away.
