  1. Pretty sure it will run fine without the pressure hose connected, as long as you block the hose. It needs to remain plugged in to the ecu though, obviously.
  2. I agree, I have been put off myself. I used to encourage people to buy them till they started dropping like flies, great way to lunch an engine. I have seen quite a few rusted side feeds on ethanol setups lately too, hence why I now recommend the stainless ethanol/methanol injectors on e85 cars.
  3. I should look into it more, there isn't much involved, I could turn the female fitting easily and weld it to a bare rail, of course. Is there room on the end of the rail for the reg? I know Artz had issues with his SX reg, but that was much larger obviously. Some matt black paint and spray on dust should give any aftermarket rail the right patina.
  4. Pressure tested, or just looked?
  5. Yep, crap design. Maltech are the only mob I have found willing to fabricate the parts we needed for ours.
  6. Damn shame Dave. Sorry to see you selling mate. Glws. Someone grab this, it's the best tuning option we have atm. Are you selling it with the software and dongle mate?
  7. I have seen factory 34 turbos run 300kw on 98, and 32 N1's up over 400kw in a Gibson race car. They are nowhere near their limits at 1 bar. The hassle is they are old, making the ceramic brittle. They would be fine if they had been changed at the 100,000k service like the Stagea service schedule stipulates.
  8. Its only a 12V motor, it won't put up much of a fight over the power of the engine... It ran backwards, exhaust came out the air filter, then once we dropped the plenum hose, it dumped out there. There was nothing coming out the exhaust, and it was sucking air. If you would like to disprove me you will need something better than that... I have a fairly extensive knowledge mechanically and know exactly what and how it happened, I was just sharing my experience, as I had never seen it before.
  9. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/297345-m35-factory-boost-gauge-repair/ No brain fart, today at least.... That one above is the Map sensor for the ecu, I assume it has the same terminal setup, but are you after that or the boost sensor for the gauge in the dash?
  10. Just solder the terminals inside, there are a few "How to's" on the topic on here...
  11. K11 LSD conversion? I can ask him for the link if you want.
  12. Apparently. Do a Google search, Darren found it in 30 seconds.
  13. Vic driveshaft services (Clayton) can modify the shafts for $200 odd.
  14. N13 VSLD box with N15 bell housing, N13 inner shaft with N15 outer.
  15. No power FC ever had a tune for stock injectors. Tell the Tuner he is wrong, head down there and fit the gear there, that way he can get it running.
  16. Please don't be seen around here with that exhaust. It looks like you stole it off a datto 120Y. Good luck with it.
  17. So have you given up with the Neo rail Disco? Send it down so I can do a fit up on a 33, I might be able to work something out, anyone in Melbourne got a spare lower plenum?
  18. The PFC is setup to run larger injectors. Put the electronics down and take the parts to someone that understands RB's or you will probably do some serious damage to your car.
  19. I don't like buying S/H turbos unless I can hear them running, but if it's stacked at least there is a legitimate reason for selling. Depends where you go, MV Automatics in Adelaide apparently do a valve body swap service if you are mechanically minded, or get your mech to look into it? If you had a location I could possibly help more. At a guess, the shift kit would cost $600 - $1200 fitted including fluids. A trans cooler is $100 odd and can easily be mounted by removing the front bar. You should be able to manage that yourself, or find a handy mate and offer him bourbon.
  20. Yep. I saw that. I agree a black rail isn't too obvious and it's not that expensive, but the amount of those crappy fiveO injectors being sold shows how keen people are to keep the stock sidefeeds, no matter the consequences. I would love to be able to supply some easy way to swap over to top feeds for those guys that want a stealth upgrade. I like stealth options.
  21. Yes, you need a shift kit and a transmission cooler for that sort of power. What sort of turbo is it? Usually people say the brand or part number, not just the power it can make. I hope this isn't an ebay chinese copy of a real turbo...
  22. To follow on from the Facebook argument from last night... M35 part required for when the time travel switch fails on the clock assembly. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/EB00/121G.oap?ck=Search_121g_-1_-1&keyword=121g
  23. I spoke to Darren, he told me what you need. Two boxes, and a set of driveshafts later you too can have VLSD... and a stronger box.
  24. ^^ This happened. I was also too scared to go for a drive, having just woken up. lol.
  25. What about the surge, is it only when you boot it? Does it happen with a full tank? I still think its the bov return though. Does it happen if you block the BOV with a coke can?
