  1. Why you no buy Garmin and stick on dash?
  2. It's illegal to remove the intrusion, you are much better off keeping it and putting the thin thermo fan setup on there. The cooler kit even comes with brackets for them. (No idea why they just don't supply them with the kit...)
  3. * (if you don't have the torque to push the higher gearing) I listened to similar advice and wished i didn't. All I noticed was worse fuel economy due to 500 revs more on the freeway. If it's a road car you really need to think twice.
  4. Why ID's? Overpriced compared to Xspurts mate, no local warranty either. They are both Bosch EV14 injectors anyway... Should have asked me for a quote on the Xspurts.
  5. High. Yes you must.
  6. It just makes it hard to align the marks, as the slack is on the wrong side. Cam timing is important to get right. I saw an RB26 actually running backwards the other day, both cams were 90 degrees out, set up like Toyota cam wheels accidentally. Exhaust was coming out the airbox and fresh air sucking in the exhaust. Once the marks were realigned properly it ran fine, didn't even bend a valve.
  7. Without making a mess? Why don't you put a long piece of clear hose inline and watch which way it pushes through.
  8. Valves open at all rev ranges. If you are talking about a VCT window switch, there are hundreds of options. Best controlled by the ecu imo.
  9. That's what I run. It's a good reliable turbo. You will need an external housing for it, I have been using the Taiwanese stainless ones with great success, also the Kando housings work very well. I picked mine up on sale at MTQ a few months ago for $930.
  10. There are about 1000 turbo's that will make 350kw of flow, you need to choose one that will do it within your target revs and boost. My suggestion for a responsive 350kw on e85 is a GTX3071 or similar, externally gated off the housing.
  11. At those revs, yes. It's much cheaper using a different servo pump than building an engine...
  12. Oh. Don't worry. If they don't have the oem mounting blocks they are useless to me.
  13. You need ethanol for those dreams.
  14. By turning the cams. It should be on the crank gear and lined up at the bottom first. You won't know if it's right until you put it on the tensioner rollers.
  15. On 98 dino fuel you would be looking for a GT35. Lotsalag.
  16. For 350wkw? What fuel? What supporting mods?
  17. But it's internal gate, it won't work as well as the external housing as there is a large hole cut into the side of the nozzle. And it won't easily get you to 350kw.
  18. Probably needs a thermostat, but not something people usually complain about after a gruelling dyno sesh. Drive it till it lifts, you will see the coolant blow out the overflow...
  19. Did he put the air temp probe in the sun's core or something?
  20. 10psi by 4k isn't too bad, it's around what a GTR does correct?
  21. Yes, it will restrict your power if you are chasing 500kw. Smaller runner, shorter manifolds will usually spool the turbo quicker, so no.
  22. I would want to know the temp of the returning oil, so you know if it's time to slow down or not, and to see if the cooler is working as it should. I ran mine in the trans return line, after the cooler and thermostat.
