  1. Did someone clean the throttle? Check all the vac lines are connected and not leaking. You will probably need to do a throttle re-learn.
  2. Looks pretty good to me. Better than some workshops. Practice is the only way to get better. Were you using a foot pedal? I gotta get me one, stopping to turn the dial down as the work heats up is a pita.
  3. Did you block the egr? If so you will need to put a resistor over the temp probe to get rid of the MIL. Otherwise something is wrong with the temp sensor or the wires that connect it to the ecu. Did you forget to plug the temp sensor back in?
  4. HKS laid it on a platter and it's too expensive. Why don't you retrofit it to the cams you have now? Make the whole thing yourself from VQ35 parts if you want to save a buck. It's been done already, it can't be too hard to replicate. Everyone wants to take the easy way, but don't want to pay the price...
  5. It's only a temp sensor, not the solenoid.
  6. Looks great Justin. Make a few.
  7. This is your problem, so why be stupid at all? The crossmember is the lowest point, I wouldn't want to hit something solid with it...
  8. Unless MAP sensored ecu. If the boost was beyond the mapping of the tune it would perhaps dump fuel to protect itself. I know if I was your tuner, and knew you were a fiddler, I would protect the hell out of it.
  9. Cheap upgrade considering the gains and what is in the kit.
  10. You damaged the temp sensor. No big deal, you ca either replace the sensor or trick the ecu into thinking it is still in the circuit with a similar resistance soldered over it's wires. Before you go further, can you make sure the temp sensor is plugged in properly? It's behind the plenum and throttle, thin white wire.
  11. Turbosmart 40mm is about as compact as you can get.
  12. So contact HKS if you are in Japan. If you can get detailed diagrams, let me know, I would love to copy their setup.
  13. I can help with new injectors... PM me what size you would like a price on. Second hand injectors have proven pointless on many occasions, especially as you need to flow test and replace Orings on them before fitting. As for 300kw, it is easily attainable with the stock manifold, as I have proven many times. Why not just buy a GTX3071, get it externally gated off the housing, and bolt it on? If it's a budget option you need, Hypergear could supply you something cheaper...
  14. HKS have a kit to retrofit the VQ35 constantly variable gear to the front of the 26 cam, with tuning solutions. Otherwise the Haltech/link etc can be programmed if you have a good tuner. RB25 VCT would be easier to retrofit, but a 'how to' is a while away. Unless you want to fit it yourself and take pics?
  15. I can help with any injector/pump questions... I would be running the 255, (the 341 and 342 are identical other than where the sock fits) actually I run two of them currently. Better would be the new 460L e85 pump to allow for further power later. What are your power goals anyway? Give me a PM when you get price quotes on your injectors/pumps, I can get rock bottom pricing from the wholesaler... As for the housing gasket, I would be buying the entire thing, it is a sacrificial anode and as such usually corrodes badly.
  16. None? Just weld it up. What are your plans boost wise, and how is the gate mounted. Will it be a screamer? It's all dependant on flow through the gate. I wouldn't go smaller than 40mm personally, preferably 50mm+.
  17. No, you would need to keep the 26 head or nothing would fit. Just retrofit the advance mechanism to the cam and make it work.
  18. Looks pretty clean to me, imagine if it was on pootrol, you wouldn't be seeing any white.
  19. Ahh, something isn't right, and no amount of throttle re-learn will fix it. Have you done the flashy light dance? My guess, if it indeed isn't the AFM, probably a big boost leak. Do you have the ability to make a plug for the intake and pressurise it to check for leaks?
  20. Yep, plenty of air in the system by the sounds. You need to clamp the lines before you rip the stock calipers off, otherwise the air can get into the ABS unit as you found.
  21. What is it with c34's getting 'lost' Jase? Sorry, there was bugger all stopping room anywhere, and I was having way too much fun.
  22. No-one would steal your car mate.
  23. No real need, they flow ok for what they are, and thinning it out by die grinding will only weaken an already fragile cast manifold.
  24. There are only so many times we can say to use cylinder one lead, not the shitty loop. Sounds like your wastegate is too small to run such low boost. Wind it up, or better, weld it up.
