Anyone In Sydeny Have Corner Weighting Scales?
scotty nm35 replied to MrStabby's topic in New South Wales
You could try Jetwreck, fairly sure he has access to a set and may be able to help for a small fee. Not sure if he has the time or even gets on the forum anymore since he parted the Stagea... He is a Golf driver now so probably doesn't need the scales anymore... -

Does that take into account driving up a hill though? 20* plus say a 30* hill = 50 degrees... Bring on ceramic bearings that don't need lubrication, then we could vertically mount them. -
I was just trying to minimise the amount I use. I run Synthetic oil anyway Artz, because I can afford to.

You would probably need the fuel that it was tuned on, and I doubt Japan would mix ethanol into their 100 octane, although they might... Just google his name, you will find many threads and hopefully one with an email addy. He may charge a small amount to help, but he is a top bloke that has helped me with weird Japanese shit many times before. ((His wife even translated a Kanji ecu wiring diagram for me.) It still won't change the fact you would need to get in on an OZ dyno with the fuel you plan to use to be sure it is safe. Many engines have been destroyed by mines tunes over the years. -
It's hard to tell what the reserves are doing, or how long the shit will last. I know they have come back to empty wells and the oil has returned in some cases. I don't even think they know where it comes from other than guessing, or what even made it. Is the crude supposed to be there as lubrication for the tectonic plates? I have read heaps of theories... Not much fact. Pumping it out till it's gone just doesn't seem like a smart thing to do imo, which is why I made a decision 5 years ago not to be part of it, as much as is possible. Didn't take me much motivation...

Lambo and ferrari = impractical, plus my wagon has more powerz Ocean views are only good until someone else builds in front of you, and if you have beach frontage, that Lambo and Ferrari will be corroded wrecks in a few years. Plus... tsunamis...

Ok, keep me posted. What do you want for the loom? Make sure the mech doesn't damage it on removal... -
Exactly right, you can either add timing, boost or both. I chose boost and it works very well also. I figured pushing the turbo hard was better than relying on the rods to take extra load, seeing they are stock.

This^^ One thing I haven't found yet is the suggested maximum angle of inclination. It would be much easier to fit if you could angle the sucker on a 45 degree in some situations, but obviously the drain would be compromised. What is the maximum angle you would suggest Geoff? Taking into account the car will be driving up hills also. I am running my gtx on a 15 degree angle, leaning back in the engine bay to help with packaging on the VQ25det, and it works fine. But there would be a limit... -

Score. As Duncan said, give them the code on the sticker above, M35804VX6, it should be the serial number for the rom. If you can find a suitable translator, or get Jesse Streeter to email them perhaps, you might be able to find out what was done to it. I would be running it up on a local dyno, just to make sure there is no knock, afr's are fine, and to find out if our 98 is generally ok with the 100 octane map that is most likely on it. Quite often the Japanese run way too much timing in the map on their rom tunes, which may be hard to check without knock ears. -
Ethanol can be made from nearly anything that decomposes, hence the push to make it from our abundant green waste, and excess food that goes to the tip. It won't ever be enough to support more than a percentage of the cars on the road, but if we can expand it to include algae farms and the existing waste from the sugar cane industry etc, I am sure there would be plenty to go around. Brazil is making ethanol from weeds in massive quantities, and has been for 40+ years. There is a 25% minimum content in their fuel, and government subsidised 100% ethanol pumps. They seem to make it work, but you are correct, they need to be careful not to clear more land, and dedicate to other (more expensive) forms of production. After the corn price farce the American farmers created with their production, everyone believed e85 would take over the food bowls and force the price of staple foods up, but that was short lived of course. One thing is for sure, we need something to replace oil, you don't think the last billion barrels will go towards filling our petrol tanks do you? Something tells me when the global dipstick gets low, the door will be shut, and only the military will get supplies, so they can respond to the global emergency that will follow. No point sticking your head in the sand as it will come one day, but it's probably my kids that will have to deal with that.

There is plenty of info out there, so have a search. Ethanol still gets shit canned regularly, mainly by ignorant drivers that haven't tried running it. Ethanol will be a very clean source of energy one day and we will be heavily reliant on it when the oil is sucked dry. Till then, chose what you want.

That should shorten it nicely, and external gate specific, the way I like it. I wonder if they plan to do split pulse Vband entry... That would be very trick. -
