  1. Everyone makes mistakes, no need to take it hard. If the bleeder is at the bottom, at least you have found the issue, which is more than I can say for the brake specialist idiots.
  2. It will affect the tune if the turbo is more responsive obviously, but blocking off the bov with a bit of coke can is a good test to see if it's leaking. Anything is fine, 2mm alloy would be even better but it's only for a test.
  3. And you need to angle grind the bearings off the hub. Bring back tapered roller bearings, pack em with your palm full of grease and they go for years.
  4. I remember that POS Dave. But it's BB core, must be magically better.
  5. You bought crappy parts and thought it would add to your power goals. Many others have done the same thing, don't feel like we are singling you out. All you needed to max out the GT3076 was a 3 inch exhaust, turbo, decent modern injectors and a Walbro 255. A decent ecu (adaptronic etc) wouldn't have cost much more than the Microguess.
  6. From the comparison shots I saw, the aftermarket pistons looked nearly identical to the stockies at a glance.
  7. Why so much Hypergear hate, it's GCG highflows that are a waste of time imo.
  8. If you had bought a decent standalone and left the FFP, stainless manifold, fpr, boost controller etc off the list, you will have had more money to spend on finding the issue on the dyno.
  9. Mafia had a heap of water/meth to help I seem to remember...
  10. Still looking for pics. The Jap chromies were up in the for sale thread but I can't find the post.
  11. There are a few Orings they could be talking about, some in between the sump and block, some between the block and cam chain cover.
  12. You will need a stiffer spring in the gate imo, and the .63 rear won't be helping things. Can you get us some pics of your setup? Was the exhaust dropped on the dyno?
  13. Thanks guys, looking at camera setups at the moment, JB wanted $900 for a pissy 4 camera set, looks like I am going Ebay. Already have the chunky padlocks to fit ,rather than the padbolts.
  14. Yeh, I had that black color on the Axis wreck.
  15. I think I have stock 34gtt lines here you can have, are they similar?
  16. At least we know it wasn't Aaron.
  17. They just took the rims as far as I know, and they came prepared as you said. I would say they had been before and spotted the rims, and saw a quick buck to be had. Still waiting/looking for photo's.
  18. Agreed, and 10 rims, they must have had a ute or trailer. Looks like I will have to put cameras up, as now I won't be trusting anyone.
  19. There were 2 x 350z rims, a full set of 19's black spoke Speedy's with Toyota 5 stud pattern, and a full set of 19 inch chromies with Nissan 5 stud pattern.
  20. Seems someone stole 10 rims from my backyard in Hampton Park last night, someone that has been here before. I am extremely disappointed to say the least. As most of my customer base is on SAU, I am posting to politely ask for their return, as if I eventually find out who stole them, I won't be so nice about asking for them back. They weren't mine, and the owners will be more pissed than me, that's for sure. I will get some photo's up soon, hopefully they try to offload them locally and you guys can keep an eye out for them.
  21. Very hard to prove without climbing into the cylinder at full noise. Considering the engine is brand new, I doubt there is any carbon buildup causing pre ignition, sharp edges in the quench perhaps, but I don't think Tony wants to rip the head off unless all other avenues are exhausted. (Plus we need to give the engine builder the benefit of the doubt, I am sure he knows what he is doing.) What other causes of pre-ignition can be ruled out with the head on? Remember, this is happening on ethanol and 98...
  22. It's not a commodore. Of course it won't be as smooth as oem, that's why the clutches slip between gears to make it all seamless and gentle. It shouldn't be harsh at all, but I have yet to feel the MV kit.
  23. As far as I know there are no tuners to recommend in Sydney, the closest would be Jez on the central coast. Are you planning to tune with the Emanage Ultimate?
  24. Slight pinging isn't going to show on the plugs after a few runs, some of you run higher knock levels without even knowing. Can you tell the difference on the headphones Mike?
  25. It's an aftermarket turbo, made by Garrett for any vehicle. Why the fluck would it have a Nissan flange on the back? You would need to find a local fabricator to make a new dump, intake and possibly a spacer off the manifold. Then you would need supporting mods, like injectors, fuel pump, 3 inch zorst, programmable ecu etc. Jumping into things without researching can get mighty expensive...
