  1. The problems with them would be if you have any issues, good luck getting a response from the seller, they generally have no idea about your application, and warranty is pointless if you need to send one injector back at your own cost. It is always handy being able to communicate with a local reseller directly.
  2. They are just a Bosch injector, exactly the same as Xspurts, and generic Bosch injectors off egay. You don't see people saying "wow, Bosch make some excellent injectors, they only say ID's are the best..." I don't really get it.
  3. It's got less tyre on the road than a KE30 Corolla with stockies. (probably doesn't go around corners as well either.) I still don't see the point...
  4. Have you tried a drop of oil on the shock shaft? It should lube the internal rubber seal and stop the noise you are hearing.
  5. I think the issue is the injectors are too long, making the rail hit the underside of the plenum.
  6. If you had bought Xspurt 1000's locally you wouldn't be having this issue. You either need to space the intake plenum halves to allow room, or buy shorter injectors. Someone with a GTR may want to swap...
  7. Penrite doesn't stain your concrete purple either if you drop some.
  8. So what have you actually bought? You would need side feed for the s1, do you have a top feed fuel rail? We need more info, if your mech can't work it out having the car there, how do you expect us to help from the other side of the internet with such a pitiful amount of information... Perhaps get on to the guy that sold them to you, and ask him why they don't fit?
  9. The main issue with the 040 is the integrated filter that can't be cleaned. I have heard of these being hacked out, but then you have no pre-filtering before the pump, which will shorten it's life considerably. I agree, the Walbro 255 pumps are very good at what they do, as long as you get a genuine one. The newer 400L is an amazing upgrade over nearly every other intank, but these fail quickly with e85 use, hence Walbro released the 460L e85 tolerant design, with sealed power and e85 fitting kit. Any of these will outlive the 040 if fitted with the recommended filter sock imo. The 255's are around $100 and will flow around 300kw ethanol and 350kw petrol, the larger 400-460 (around $200) will flow 430kw on ethanol and 550 odd on petrol. Make the choice based on projected power output, as you don't want more fuel flowing around the system than you need. You might even need to look at fuel cooling if you have higher fuel flow than your engine's requirements. Any aftermarket pump will require hard wiring to battery voltage, through a relay and fuse. (there are a few 'How to's' getting around this forum.) If you would like me to price up some pumps from my wholesaler, drop me a PM, you might be surprised how cheap they are available.
  10. Nissan still use the Consult3 at some dealers... I haven't yet tried it on later Nissans though.
  11. You don't afaik, Consult 3 does later v36's I am fairly sure. I can find out easy enough...
  12. Perhaps Dale. I don't work well with mechanical engineering types for some reason, they usually have no idea how to make things in the real world and underestimate costs, fabrication time and demand for the product, which might be the case here. There is absolutely no point fabricating manifolds when Nissan already made some, as HKS found. I suggest you stick the turbo in the boot ff_Driftz, much more room there...
  13. Less than 5k. It's in pretty good condition, drives well, we simply don't use it anymore. I don't have it advertised yet, but i can get pics if you like. It is just a green 01 Astina hatch, 140,000ks. Wouldn't need much for a roady. Are you local? I'm in Hampton Park if you want to have a look...
  14. Good luck with that, it is double skinned. I think he will have issues pumping it out much. Take pics for us, I am sure there are many looking to upgrade to 10.5's, including myself, but I don't want to run 225 tyres, it defeats the point.
  15. If the guard paint cracks at least you can hide it. Bloody hard to pump the rear guard out, it will need more than a roll.
  16. Which V35? I would guess it wouldn't, but the 3.5L is OBD2 compliant, so it might read it's codes somewhat. I have wasted enough money buying these crappy products that don't work on my car. You are searching in the wrong places. Don't buy from re-sellers...
  17. The Consult 3 will set you back sub $300 if you look around, and will communicate with all the ecu's in the car. It is worth 100 times more than a generic OBD2 scanner, I know this well, I have both the Consult3 and a Launch Diagun and the Consult has 100 times more options, it's the same software Nissan use to diagnose faults.
  18. Shouldn't be too hard to find this guy after describing the corner he lives off. Pretty stupid imo to threaten random car owners with bodily harm for just having a loud exhaust, especially when your roosters probably make more noise than the car. If I lived local I would think about cruising down the road with my own chainsaw, or shotty, just in case (in the hope you would) enact your stupid plan. Unfortunately people that threaten others over the internet are unlikely to follow through with the violence they promise, as they are cowardly hiding behind their anonymity. Realistically Hill Billy, it is your own fault for purchasing a redneck farm on a main thoroughfare.
  19. So you aren't sure if it's compressor surge, valve float, misfire or limiter, and you would like an internet diagnosis? Better get us a video, preferably doing skids...
  20. You may need to pull it off then to work out what it is. Does it really matter? Just tune it. Did you check from underneath for the tag? It is pretty old, most turbo's that size have anti surge housings these days.
  21. You can't tell from the housing, can you get the number off the core, the one on the little metal tag?
  22. Turbo is nearly finished Tony, now I need to modify the actuator.
  23. I figured that was the point.
  24. Let the faggotry commence... Oh, too late, Aaron is already here. Build it yourself ffs. It has instructions you ham fisted, suit wearing pen pusher.
  25. May as well run gearbox oil, at least then you can use it for both engine and box.
