  1. What you are suggesting could well make 3 times the stock torque, if not more. If you have the Transgo kit fitted you may be ok for a while, if you drive it nice. I should have some by the end of the week, or early the week after I am hoping. Then I will fit one to my car and test it out with the Link Fury running the show. Big few weeks coming up...
  2. There is probably 2-300F difference between the manifold gas temp and the dump pipe. You got the dyno graph? If the turbo is too small the torque will drop off dramatically in the top end...
  3. The ECU usually supplies the power for all sensors. Are you sure they are 12V?
  4. No, too damn laggy. I have tried a few 3071's, now i'm helping design a highflow to suit the stock converter and still flow close to 300kw on e85. The Garrett would be fine with a high stall converter, (just ask Alex who bought my setup) but realistically a highflow will produce enough torque these days to toast your gearbox, without the need to rev it to 8k. Unless you have full standalone control none of this is a good option, you running the Fcon?
  5. Perhaps the blower resistor pack has burnt out? Does it work on high setting, or not at all?
  6. A genuine Walbro 255 shouldn't scream, unless it's under massive stress, such as 80+psi fuel pressure, or high temps as you mentioned. Have you got under the car and felt the fuel tank? It was 40 odd degrees yesterday wasn't it?
  7. Looks the same to me Ben, from what's left of your front end.
  8. Did you see my GTX install pics from 4-5 years ago? The GTX 3076 fits, but only just, and that was the external gate housing. Think 'Ship in a bottle' it wasn't an easy fabrication by any means. Let me know if you can't find the thread as I should still have some pictures saved somewhere.
  9. MAP tune still needs the AFM pass through for the gearbox, unless you can emulate an AFM signal using the emanage? You could even run another different AFM. I ordered some AFM's from my old supplier if you want to try one Matt, before totally giving up on them.
  10. EFR a bit longer? Nearly twice as long... I don't think there is room. Where are you planning to shoehorn the turbo in? External or internal gate?
  11. A tune can sort it to some extent, but it really needs to remain plumbed back to the intake, or the afm will misread the airflow and dump fuel. You need a MAP ecu to vent atmospherically without affecting the tune. You can block the bov but you will get sick dose, and probably snap the turbine off it's shaft. No shudder on mine since the first tune, I have had the Kompact on for 5 years now, very reliable and quiet with the stock airbox.
  12. I have a dual port I would swap you for, I prefer the single, but the dual is adjustable so you can tune out the stuttering. At least now you know why the stock BOV leaks, it's done from factory to remove that stuttering.
  13. It will be throwing the G sensor crazy if it's that bad.
  14. Fast? Just use epcdata.
  15. I doubt it Joey, it only knows what the wheels are doing by the ABS wheel speed sensors.
  16. Yeh Ben, pull the battery out and have a look under the upside down cup, it holds the IPDM module, all the power relays and about 20 fuses. That's where I would suspect the blown fuse would be anyway, the inside fusebox is only for body control.
  17. Unfortunately the Fcon gear has been discontinued and as such is a waste of time (although mine has been good to me, tuning is a pain in Aus though). Basic remapping could be good for some, but I need a decent plugin, standalone, live tuning solution that any tuner can use, anywhere in the world. This is the only way I can see it happening. It's much harder on these VQ25det's than you would expect. Many have tried and failed.
  18. Just replace it I assume. Do you need one? If that doesn't fix it, you might need to diagnose the fault on a Consult 3. Have you checked the fuses in the IPDM unit behind the battery?
  19. Nope, nothing will run our can bus, so the stock ecu must stay in place and remain happy (no errors) for everything to work as per factory. The adaptronic never kept the stock ecu happy, and ran batch fire ignition. It could possibly work well with a little fiddling, but no-one has put the effort into making it run without errors. They have only done one car so far, then that setup was transferred into another car when Craigs threw a few rods. It's now running my old cable throttle, running in limp mode. I only picked the Fury after a lot of research, My mate Rick and I wanted a standalone in our M35's that was able to run the cams and throttle down the track, once standalone gearbox control was sorted. We are also trying to ditch the pos stock AFM due to it's unreliable nature. MAP tune ftw.
  20. Yep, the box is in limp mode, no CAN signal so the TPS and AFM signals aren't getting through to the trans ecu in the kick panel. Perhaps the fire shorted the ecu out? The wiring should be similar to early V35's if that helps, I will try and search for something specific when I get a chance.
  21. You could put a massive intercooler on, but it won't help cool superheated air. Sounds to me like your turbo is too small, what are you running? Where is your temp gauge, and do you have one pre and post cooler?
  22. Nice one Joe, that should work fine. Let us know how it goes.
  23. 550 is the largest side feed my wholesaler can get, so anything larger than that is 'highflowed' with a drill bit. They are still 20+ year old design, even if you buy new. Nothing that old compares to a modern Bosch injector, in fact not much compares these days. If you are planning to run e85 one day you have no real choice but to do a top feed conversion, the sidefeeds won't last long on e85 from my experience.
  24. There are plenty of spares getting about, I could have sent you three relays, no need to hack up the loom to fit generic relays. Great you got it fixed though, Name the importer, they should have fixed it for free if you bought it through them, they hand picked the car for you didn't they?
  25. Neither will any of the aftermarket ecu manufacturers, and the Emanage just isn't cutting it with so many of my customers wanting 300+kw. Looks like I need to do everything myself, so I am going to grab a Link 'Fury' and set it up on my car with a plug in loom, copying the HKS install, let you guys know how it goes. Flex fuel would be very nice.
