  1. Fuel surge... time for a surge tank?
  2. What's wrong with a Walbro Paul?
  3. Nice one. I was disappointed I couldn't make it there in the Stagea, but no ethanol servo's on the way. I would have been close to knocking you out of your 10th place I would hope... Next year. A customer of mine James was up there in his silver Supra, managed 308kph but too much wheel spin to get better than 3rd or 4th I think. AWD wins on loose gravel.
  4. You need one of these for 30psi+.
  5. I can... But I have no materials.
  6. I'll just put this here... Works well. Stealth as faurk. Dooeeet.
  7. I would ask them casually first, just tell them you don't want to mix fluids or something. I can nearly guarantee they used whatever they had in the 44 gallon drum.
  8. The spring inside them doesn't have to be strong, as the boost pressure helps hold it shut. I haven't tried one (dual port internal gate actuator) but it should work better than an ewg setup without the top port being used.
  9. I have heaps, but buy Plattsy's, he got in first.
  10. The transmission is always trying to be in 5th, for the fuel savings. When you boot it, it will kick down, but it has to drop 3 or 4 gears which takes time. Meanwhile the throttle hasn't opened yet but the line pressure is at it's highest due to the TPS showing full throttle. Thank Mr Nissan for such a crappy throttle response, and Jatco for an even crappier auto controller that can't be programmed.
  11. A go-kart with a roof? You're doing it wrong. haha.
  12. My eyes... Burn it with fire...
  13. G35 forums... You know there are plenty of threads here on the RE5, Stagea forum ^^ that way.
  14. So much fail in this thread. Firstly, the shift kit doesn't fix the inherent issues with the transmission controller, that is the source of all the things you are complaining about. Every time it clunks into gear you are flooring it right? but the electronic throttle hasn't opened yet... It waits till it gets the signal from the auto computer before it winds the throttle on. If the throttle had instant response you wouldn't be having issues at all. Disconnecting the battery won't do anything, other than reset the radio. Perhaps you should have researched before you jumped into the shift kit. Are you sure the 'specialist' used Nissan MaticJ or similar? Most just stick Dextron3 in and fluck the box, knowing you will be back for a rebuild. Finally, stop driving in D, it's for grandma...
  15. I'll bring the matches and lighter fluid.
  16. T25, same as GTR. SR's are tractor motors, use modern tech mate.
  17. Get a single GTR turbs and we will stick it on somehow, emanage blue and some stock VQ injectors.
  18. 70kw more, or total?
  19. Plattsy likes a good shaft every once in a while. What the fluck did you just buy mate, don't bring that pos down here... I'm warning you.
  20. Sure was a great day. You can't compare the Gibson to any other manifold, it is made from a special material with sand bent one piece runners. I can try and get some manifold pics next year at PI if you like, all the Gibson cars are together in the pits.
  21. A customer of mine James (fitted Xspurt 2000's to it just before it's last tune) owns the Supra that managed 308kph terminal speed. Unsure how much power it was putting down as there are bugger all dyno's down here that will measure over 700-800kw at the rears. Shame he couldn't get any traction, almost the whole way down the runway. Definitely a bonus to those with AWD...
  22. I saw 140+ in mine after a few laps in summer, that was with a 30 row expensive cooler, running a 14 inch thermo fan. A good synthetic will take it though. That said, we had to tape up all the coolers on the the Gibson GTR the other day at Sandown as nothing was getting up to temp after 8 laps.
  23. ^^ Pre-spooled turbo using a 3 phase RC helicopter motor. I thought of that 5 years ago, even let Tao know. Most of my ideas and designs get made eventually, even if i don't have the time and coin to complete them. Hopefully it flows through to the common people, because I want one.
  24. The last Hypergear turbo took a month, as Tao was in China. It's a very good idea if you can get one, although you will never get that sort of money back for them over here, not unless they are running perfectly. Perhaps I can loan my spare out for a small fee? I would love to have a highflow on the shelf to help customers out, but I can't justify having $1300 tied up in a turbo sitting in the garage.
