  1. Would be around $500 delivered by the time you ship it and pay tax/duty.
  2. Better sort out that cam timing or you won't make it there...
  3. Any bolt joint will have them, economy bolts etc..
  4. It's nearly ready, he should be down there in a few more years.
  5. 2.5 inch generally, good for 300+kw.
  6. My point exactly. Add to that the stupid direct injection issues of carbon build-up around the intake valves and you have some serious maintenance issues, cars are definitely not designed to do half a million k's anymore, not without massive servicing costs.
  7. If you don't let any air in, you shouldn't need to bleed the system. I would though, as brake fluid needs to be bled regularly anyway. Looks like the lines weren't installed very well to begin with.
  8. What is wrong with some gasket maker? I just use high temp silicone for the sump. The filter is re-usable so I can't see a point in buying a kit. Probably better off sticking a shift kit in there when you clean the filter...
  9. I punched one out the other day as it was clogged, the customer couldn't afford the 4k for a new one from Subaru. So happens there are temp sensors in there to help diagnose the burn off phase, without the medium in there this doesn't happen well at all obviously. When the fuel gets dumped to do the clean the car now goes into limp mode.
  10. Same shit different bucket.
  11. Would not buy. If you found out the cost of servicing and replacement of parts on these modern diesels you would freak, the particulate filters alone are worth 3-4k and can block every year or two.
  12. Nothing beats a pressure actuated diaphragm and spring, it is a simple and robust design that will outlast any electronic stepper motor or similar. The only hassle with current actuators is there is usually no way of plumbing boost pressure into the other end, to help the spring hold the wastegate shut. This is why external gates are so much better atm.
  13. Don't forget, it needs to have a tututu valve somewhere between the turbo outlet and the throttle.
  14. That won't stop anything, not until the heaviest fines start getting handed out at least. It's just too hard to prove who dunnit.
  15. If you can find some stainless that slides nicely into the 4 inch Ti and slot it then clamp, it will be fine. Motorbikes use slip fittings like that all the time. Probably not the best outcome for such an expensive system though. I guess you want to ditch the 3.5 inch section? Probably best you measure the Ti also, as the Japanese like to use metric pipe usually.
  16. No idea. I will ask him next time I am there. Seems my evo 2.3L stroker has been assembled by Barry, can't wait as I still haven't driven the car.
  17. Can you find a machinist to make you one, the other half of what you have now?
  18. Where are you located? I have second hand and new aftermarket cam and crank sensors here for the VQ35. You bought the wrong car if you want to buy parts at Bursons.
  19. It is fine to drop the connector and drive the car, it will just stop the cams from advancing/retarding and throw an error code.
  20. Is your brake booster leaking?
  21. The covers are only the magnet, not the actuator which is behind it. Nissan will want to rebuild the timing chain and tensioner assemblies and replace the cam actuators, this will cost 5-6k or more. I have found a way to replace the actuators in the VQ25/VQ30 without removal of the engine, but I doubt any mechanic would try such a complex task. Your engine has intake and exhaust actuators which doubles the chances of an issue.
  22. E85 coveres up 200kw... Yeh right. Anyway, 250 isn't it's limit surely, not to mention, where is his midrange? It either has no boost in the midrange, or no timing, probably due to a big restriction somewhere. Cam timing? Did I mention my closed 1.5 inch Varex exhaust makes more than 250?
  23. Do you know of one locally that can run 800kw on one axle? The Edge dyno can only read 700kw per axle, or 1400kw awd.
  24. I would try a different tuner perhaps, nothing like a second opinion...
