  1. Well answer the phone then.
  2. I went through the same topic with the RS4 Audi guys, we came to the decision if it aint a problem, why change it. If you don't plan to run more power there is no point changing from oem. Do you think Nissan put it there just for noise reduction? It has more flex than the clutch springs allow movement. Good for heavy clutch dumps or people that have poor clutch control. More important that flywheel selection imo is changing the spigot bush in the crank. Nismo do a roller bearing one but it isn't a good idea for the road from what I hear as they fail without re-greasing regularly, just a new bronze bush is best.
  3. If only you went MAP sensor like all the cool kids. You could have driven to work with no boost like a boss.
  4. I think he wants to swap you for a set of Ugg boots mate. I was going to offer a pair of thongs but it looks like I have been outbid.
  5. Have you done the suggested re-soldering of the AFM pins yet?
  6. I would hope it has been repaired by now...
  7. Ditching the dual mass flywheel isn't recommended, it is similar to going for a solid centre clutch, they will both transfer shock and vibration through the drive train causing damage. Unless you need to ditch it due to power increases...
  8. Nissan are sending data to Japan, that should fix it. At the end of the day someone needs to pick up a screwdriver and fix the problem. Throwing parts at it, reading consult3 suggested repairs and sending data around isn't diagnosis in my professional opinion and will just leave your wallet empty.
  9. I had a good look at a certain white 34 getting a GTX3076 fitted at Edge Motorworks yesterday. There was plenty of room for a 30mm spacer, but the 20mm one looked to work perfectly.
  10. Why would you want an off the shelf setup anyway? Custom fabricated stainless is the go for best fitment and powerz.

Cop 1: Loud exhaust... Sounds dangerous. Cop 2: Lets shoot at it...

You should be right, as long as you bring the lube...
  13. Centrifigal superchargers = Aids. Single turbo FTW, HKS 3037 kit if you can find one...
  14. Same here, battery in the siren exploded on my Viper, repaired under warranty. The USB rechargable fob is great though.
  15. Nice, rare as rocking horse shit.
  16. I have an assembly here.
  17. I just watched a Supra getting tuned, it easily maxed the 700kw dyno. lol. Seems the 6boost manifold overboost issues are still common across the range. Precision turbo but I didn't find out what size. I only know it was massive and had a 5 inch inlet. I also helped get the VL RB30 started, and got the 6766 spinning. Is it common to hear bearing noise with the ceramic bearing cartridges? There is oil supply but the bearings sound flat spotted. Perhaps they need to get hot before the clearances close up?
  18. ^^ This. Unfortunately the VQ35 isn't much chop in stock form, the bottom end is just too fragile, but for the cost of the planned swap it could be a built... Overnight parts from Japan. Or just drop a VQ25det in there, will take 500hp stock.
  19. I can't help with old Sards, but Bosch ev14's I have by the bucket load. I could do a second hand flow tested set cheap...
  20. So unbolt the water part and look at the condition of the O ring behind it. You will have to replace it I am sure.
  21. At a guess, the GTX stuffed into the stock housings will flow more air in the midrange compared to the anti-surge ones, which is why I heard what I assume was surge. (unless it was a cooler pipe or gasket, but it was only as it hit boost) I would prefer the real housings myself, the slot is there for a good reason. Garrett wouldn't have added the complexity to the casting and machine work otherwise. But this was a stealth stock setup.
  22. How can you not have heard it Guilt toy? I guess you don't do that many ethanol tunes over there but it knocks audibly on cruise when you lean it out, just like dino 98. I wouldn't be letting anyone near my engine without a knockbox, not at 30-40psi.
  23. Yeh, Trents is a RWD hub dyno, still he shouldn't need to justify his figures, it is on par with most of the other local tuners machines, but obviously dispenses with the wheelspin and over strapping required at that sort of power. If you ran it on a roller I would expect to see minimal losses, although I still haven't been on Trents to compare my figures. As you say though, same dyno same day, or take them to the drags together is the only way to know.
