  1. You should really post in the Stagea section, owners there are more likely to know there are two level senders in a Stagea fuel tank. Check the other side once the tank is empty next, and make sure you replace any Orings.
  2. How? I can bet BDS have never tuned one of these before, and with statements like the one I quoted, I fear you may think this will be an easy task... If the Adaptronic will work, almost any aftermarket ecu will. But you slowly lose functionality the further down the road you travel, and the costs rise if no-one has been down that path before you, trust me, I know.
  3. Good to hear. I had to install a second restrictor into the oil line on a turbo V8 Soarer I set up, it was filling both housings with oil with a .9mm restrictor but only occasionally. I fitted a second 1mm restrictor in the oil feed and the exhaust is clean so far. It is definitely oil pressure related as that engine runs 10 bar also.
  4. There is a test M35 driving about at the moment running an Adaptronic ecu, it has a few issues to sort out, but it is another option for the near future.
  5. As above, big dollars but mine is working very well. You will need to find someone competent willing to tune it, and you will most probably need to supply the software/dongle to them. What specifically are you trying to get out of it? The Emanage Ultimate works very well to a point...
  6. Lol. Mythbuster that shit. The only way it becomes conductive afaik is when water is added. Probably best to just use the sealed Walbro 460L e85 pump to be safe. I would think after 5 years on ethanol in my daily I would have dispelled most of the myths surrounding it, my car has not caught fire ever, the Walbro 255's are still running strong, and the fuel tank hasn't rusted away. I have also never cleaned the fuel filter...
  7. The GTX35 rear I posted above ran a 40mm gate, with absolutely no issues. You are correct, it is all about placement and flow, a 60mm gate may be exactly the same... And let Kyle know his manifold won't hold boost well. Without everyone giving feedback he may never know his wastegate path design is flawed. I have dealt with too many of his mani's lately with similar issues, but apparently he is the guru and that can't be the problem... The split pulse 6 boost manifold with twin 40mm gates worked fine, but what a bugger to fabricate.
  8. Sounds like they never upgraded the tank at the servo then, which is very illegal. Caltex would have the same issue with the old steel tanks, but they were obviously a lot more proactive with their rollout.
  9. Lol, the sensor is available cheap if you look around, it is just a standard Bosch wideband sensor I assume.
  10. Ooo, shiny... I think I just have enough room for the top hat extension, hopefully I can buy that separately without having to buy a new gate. I will contact them tomorrow. Thanks.
  11. I've had zero issues. If the engine is knocking on ethanol something is very wrong, mine will cruise on 20:1 without ping. Going by the PFC for knock doesn't sound very accurate... Unless it was a bad batch of ethanol? I usually buy from high turnover servo's but I have never had an issue with this either. (and I have filled many hundreds of times)
  12. Really? Perhaps my whinging paid off.
  13. If it is internally gated, the spring is far enough away from the heat I would think. I am running all 3 Turbosmart springs, and the heaviest they will sell for the new 45mm compact gate. It was apparently good for 26psi, it only ever held 24psi for the tune. Since then it has dropped to 19psi on gate pressure so I needed to run boost to the top port. I had quite the argument with Turbosmart over it, as I wanted to run 30psi off the gate originally, they said their gates aren't up to the task of running that much seat pressure, and they couldn't make me stiffer springs. My suggestion to anyone about to buy a new gate is to run the 44mm Tial with water cooling. Tial gates hold 4 springs as a bonus, not sure what the maximum pressure is though.
  14. The VR38 is just a VQ anyway. The only decent suggestion so far has been the VQ25det but I don't want you guys to get your hopes up, they are a rare engine... Anyway, off topic, as the OP won't spend the moneyz on an engine swap, engine build or decent mods. He just wants the generic g35 bolt-on feel-good parts.
  15. If you ran 98 it could go off... I don't know how you got that information out of this thread. Yes, there is a chance the fuel could absorb water, so make sure you don't stick the hose in the fuel tank.
  16. Were you in Melbourne Angelo? I have about a dozen wastegate springs laying around for Tial/Turbosmart gates, I even had some heavy springs custom made when Turbosmart refused to come to the party with a decent seat pressure. Otherwise, just ring Turbosmart. They got mine to me pretty quick. Just remember the springs will soften over a few heat cycles, and the psi rating was nowhere near what I needed. (Higher manifold pressure will blow the gate open earlier.) The other option is to use the top port to hold the gate shut, using a 4 or 5 port MAC valve, should help hold the boost flat with what you have now.
  17. Sensor still playing up? I has spares... #givemeallyourmoneyz
  18. Can't wait that long... Need... parma... now....
  19. Not all sites are on it though. Perhaps they don't update it regularly?
  20. Hopefully stainless, if it's mild you may need a new muffler. Without seeing it I couldn't tell you how much or if it's repairable. Can you get a picture of it?
  21. A good parma wins hands down imo, or even a pie and coke for that matter... Because Hampton Park bogan.
  22. If both are dropping out it definitely sounds like an electrical fault in the loom, or a relay. Where are you Jack? Perhaps there is someone near you with a multimeter that could help check it out for some cans?
  23. Hey Jase, glad you are liking the younger Stagea. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you on the mods, I have been crook as a dog, but is seems you have been searching anyway. The brake cut mod is definitely a good starting point.
  24. The HKS turbo kit was a definite win in the power department. Get the shift kit, save for a Supercharger.
  25. Power increase level - fail. It will change the response of the throttle mainly.
