  1. It's a big job isn't it Adam. What oil rings were you missing, the orings for the case to block around the oil gallery? Why did you decide on a laggy GT3076? Are you planning to run an Emanage? Post up some pics mate.
  2. Did you check the rear muffler for the 2.5 inch restrictive pipe so many have? Check the mid muffler too mate. Perhaps it's time for better fuel?
  3. There is a restriction somewhere, and a bad one by the looks of it, but with such little information to go by it makes it very hard to help find the cause. Didn't the tuners offer a reason? Can you post pics of your setup perhaps?
  4. Looks like the wastegate is leaking, is it internal gate? As above, what turbo?
  5. I don't think you would have an issue if you went with Bosch ev14's, not sure about the Siemens. I recommend the Xspurt 1000's for e85 use, even ID's have apparently had issues with e85 coagulating to jelly, I suspect after mixing with the flow test fluid they use, and warranty returns to the US can be pointless. Guys, make sure you run ID's on petrol first.
  6. Hi Steven, you finally made it on here did you? Post some pics, the brakes looked a million bucks when I saw them. I had better get cracking on your turbo removal...
  7. Bloke? You mean Cam? Pfft. His was barely modified... As stock I agree the series two is a little better, other than the glass motor.
  8. You need to look at it from the wire side, not the plug face, correct? Don't make the mistake a few owners have done and modify the TCU wiring...
  9. I told you to grub screw the bleed hole on the stock bov years ago Craig.
  10. Something tells me you are looking at the plug the wrong way Josh.
  11. Depends how bad the vac leak is, and where it is... The VVEL isn't active at idle. Good idea, buy a 3.7L car then lean the mixtures out to try and save fuel, perhaps it's time to buy a micra?
  12. I have a brand new black anodised proflow one here you could have cheap...
  13. What do you mean by stutter? At idle? If you have modified the exhaust and intake there is a chance the tune is out enough at idle to require a retune, that tuning can also mask problems. I would say if you have an uneven idle there is perhaps a vacuum leak in the plenum/vac lines causing it to lean out slightly.
  14. That is very odd Nick, the high beams are controlled by the BCM and the auto by the TCU, the only thing connecting them is the battery and fuse/relay box. Was it raining at all? I would start by cleaning the battery terminals and checking the relay box behind the battery for moisture/corrosion. It sounds like there is a short somewhere...
  15. Something around 8.5 - 9 inch +30 is perfect all round, anything bigger may require a trial fit to be sure.
  16. I was just trying to help mate. 7M with split T4 mani and a nice responsive 700hp turbo... Sounds good.
  17. Of course, but most cars and drivers can get away with a shitty cast rim, depending on the design. But our cars are 2T high performance wagon with (sometimes) crazy people behind the wheel. That said, my set of 17 inch drifteks have taken 5 or 6 track days without cracking or damage, even running sticky race rubber. I made sure I didn't hit any ripple strips though...
  18. Why would it be a deal breaker? Nissan obviously thought it improved the car's handling otherwise it would never have been added, it is only there to counteract the LSD diff's attempts to oversteer you into a pole.
  19. I think it's 100 micron mesh. Don't you want the sensor as close to the rail as possible?
  20. $365us is pretty cheap, seeing Nissan want 2k for an oem one... Gains? Probably not.
  21. Well HKS ones were around the $440 mark I think, and they were making them in bulk. I guess the price is good considering the small volume and lack of competition from HKS now. It's worth what someone pays for it at the end of the day.
  22. I use twin -6 an stainless mesh filters, Proflow ones, they cost around $100 each though plus fittings. No issues in 3 years daily driving on United mainly, and they have never been cleaned.
  23. Not a bad price, My spare loom and ecu wouldn't have cost much less shipped at a guess, and it would have been a shame to hack up perfectly good spare parts. How many other guys are willing to get on the group buy though?
  24. Nice one. At least you don't have to wait months for it to come over from Japan...
