  1. The fuel system will be fine, as stated you would need a higher flowing fuel pump (hardwired) , larger injectors, and the EMU at a minimum. Some components are better suited to e85 than others, pm me for advice before buying if you like.
  2. Nice post modification, I was trying not to be racist...
  3. I tried to PM you SargeRX8 but your inbox is full. I think the 740's should do around 350 or so, dependant on fuel pressure. I like having a little overhead though.
  4. Inside the fuel tank?
  5. If you manually lock the converter it locks the stator, similar to a manual clutch. The box will stall the engine if you come to a stop without disengaging it. Generally I run it always unlocked on the street, but on the dyno I lock it to transfer the power without as much loss or heat. It isn't a good idea to shift gears with the converter locked as you may snap the input shaft or damage the converter. Generally the converter only locks on cruise for efficiency but the Stagea locks constantly in manual mode to improve acceleration, only unlocking to shift gears.
  6. Oh no, the sky is falling... Plenty of guys using Nismo injectors on e85, and many other styles of pintle injectors. All injectors these days are ethanol tolerant as they need to be able to run on 10% ethanol fuel anyway. If you want a good top feed injector for the job, grab a set of 40mm bosch ev14 1000's and the black rail I have here.
  7. Sounds like there was a glitch with v2.30, it wasn't around long. V2.20 wasn't updated for years...
  8. Was the converter locked? If so, I can't see the box losing that much power between runs. When I get mine tuned it is very consistent, although on other dyno's it has shown the same power loss each run. Either the front wasn't strapped down well enough (which is usually the cause) Or they simply weren't letting it cool enough between runs perhaps? I assume you have a large trans cooler? I bet it hauls now, it doesn't feel brutal but it will be deceptively quick for such a heavy car.
  9. It would have been 25 years ago. I assume our ships still have those antique guns strapped to the deck though, and the Navy boys need somewhere to train before they go out and shoot at all those dangerous floating containers...
  10. Wasted spark ignition, google it karnt.
  11. What are ID other than a distributor? Did you get the flow chart with them or not? Is it photocopied? They are Bosch ev14's modified to flow around 1000cc. They could be from anywhere. If you are worried get them cleaned/flow tested, around $25 an injector I think.
  12. Mmm, how many stills to fill my tank... Edit: the excise on 1L is over $71, that would be an expensive fill... lol.
  13. I agree, smells good. The tig must make a shiteload, no wonder I have the stupid today.
  14. Haha, got me carnt.
  15. I don't want to know what happened in your pants...
  16. All the better to carry the dead bodies away.
  17. Don't like V6 sounds? I think mine sounds pretty damn good at 8k. It is still 6 bangs per revolution, and that's 6 more than you've ever had...
  18. ^ +1 I use them on all my bulky shipments, depot to depot is half the price of door to door. Just don't use them to send shit to Perth, the depot there is useless.
  19. It's like soggy cardboard, good idea to change it, which is why I included it in the kit. How easy does it make the bleeding process though?
  20. Needs more brake cut mod.
  21. The Flinders Cerberus display used to show the deck guns firing, big guns that made bigger noise. I used to be able to hear the 4.5 inch turret from over 20k's away. They would fire multiple Bofors, 40mm AA gun, the 4.5 inch deck gun emplacement, and my favourite, the 50 cal, due to me standing only a few feet away with cartridges flying around my feet. I loved that shit, I bet it's too dangerous these days in our bubble wrap society. Quite often they had to temporarily stop firing, due to fishing boats putting into the firing range, as they were shooting at a floating target. Also the AA and 50 cal would fire at a Cessna towing a target, you would have to be mad to fly that plane. Fond memory's.
  22. Lol. Besides a 6 inch exhaust being completely impractical and dragging on the road, you reach a point of diminishing returns, dependant on your power goals. It also gets exponentially harder to quieten the exhaust to a reasonable level. Some exhausts, even though the pipe size is large, don't flow well. Just because you have a 3.5 inch system it doesn't mean it will flow 350-400kw. That is a best case scenario and relies on the exhaust being well designed and internally smooth, with no restrictions as found inside most Jap mufflers. In my testing, the bigger the dump the better. It allows more air to flow which makes more power, and response improves, but it needs to be well designed to get those gains, the rest is up to the tuner...
  23. The tips have been machined on a 45 degree angle to cut the original 6 hole tip off which helps them flow more. Anyone with a lathe can machine them. The color bands are just plastic clips. I buy all mine wholesale from Injectorsonline, the Australian distributor. They modify their 'Xspurts' in-house and offer local warranty, (although I have never had to use it for any injectors yet), and cheaper than ID's once you take shipping in to it, which is unusual for Australian suppliers.
  24. They are available as I have some aircraft piping here with flanges, perhaps try some jet aircraft parts suppliers? Be ready to open your wallet nice and wide.
