  1. No I have not, but if you look through the list in the link I posted it shows all the rail types available for the C34, and the RO is available. Forget Skyline... I didn't mention it.
  2. It seems there are RO rails available... http://www.bride-jp.com/images/download/cartype-table/nissan.pdf
  3. Should at least lower the bogan content.
  4. As long as you get a good quality electronic gauge it should be accurate, and the tip should never snap off. (mine is around 5mm in diameter and looked perfect last time I removed it.) The material you tap it in to shouldn't make much difference, the thread is tapered so it will bite nice and tight into the tapped hole, as long as you use the correct tapered tap. If the Adaptronic has the ability to log 6 channels I would run a temp probe in each runner to allow individual cylinder trimming. The max temps you want to see is dependant on timing. The less timing your engine is running the higher the exhaust temps will be compared to the combustion chamber. My engine runs very little timing under load as the boost is so high. Imagine how soft the alloy pistons would be at that temperature, they would be so weak a little det would punch a hole straight through them. Luckily our pistons all run oil squirters underneath to keep temps under control, my stock pistons also have a donut shaped oil channel cast into them to help transfer the heat into the oil.
  5. What injectors are you after? PM me...
  6. My egt's were around 50 - 100 degrees cooler in the dump so you are about spot on. I would be running it in the manifold close to the head or at the merge. I found having an egt gauge interesting, the tuner was definitely more confident to tune closer to the limits, and we were able to lean out the cruise while keeping an eye on the exhaust temps. It was especially reassuring having it at the track as I didn't see over 900c up the straight, even after hitting the soft limit a few times (damn auto box). Some Japanese tuners prefer to watch the exhaust temp rather than the wideband from what I hear...
  7. Don't forget to angle grind your springs in half for the stance... Better do it before you tie the noose.
  8. I used to go to the HMAS Cerberus Flinders live firing open days, every year as a kid growing up. It always put a smile on my face. Will there be weapons firing or any other activities, or is it specifically for vehicles?
  9. The only gain you will get is noise. Unless done right a pod will actually lose you power.
  10. Yes, mine did a similar thing, when I reloaded both firmware and software it came good. (this was with v2.20, around 3 years ago) I would have thought dropping back to v2.20 would have fixed it.
  11. Haha, the joys of modified cars. Where is the dyno chart?
  12. Yes. Best way is always to use a timing gun off #1 plug lead.
  13. Good news mate. Glad it's finally sorted, I could see it was doing your head in.
  14. Which pump did you install? Most aftermarket pumps will do similar things when supplied with the lower voltage the FPCM supplies at idle and cruise. They may also fail down the track (DC motors don't like being loaded up at low voltage as they burn out) which is why most of us have hardwired the power with a relay switched by the FPCM output. If you want to run the FPCM for some reason, you will need to run either a stock pump or a Nismo/tomei. Theory or not, modifying the FPCM sounds interesting, shame you gave us absolutely no information on what you modified...
  15. He is running Bosch ev14's 2000cc (xspurt) injectors, brand new. I doubt there is an issue with them, and I though Jez already tried another set of injectors? While I agree the 2000's are not as reliable as the 1000's due to being natural gas injectors there are plenty of people using them without issue, and Portaz is still running 98 so e85 can't be blamed...
  16. Necro thread revival...
  17. If you buy from a reputable supplier you will have less chance of getting ripped. Look at the other items he is selling, they are all knockoffs. I assume a genuine HKS atmo bov would be over $200, but my question is, why would you want one anyway? For race use the Turbosmart valve works very well, road, just use either stock gtr or the turbosmart Kompact plumb back.
  18. It came up good, and not too loud either.
  19. I have a Brembo rebuild kit here, but I am guessing you went with the Sumitomo's?
  20. No worries, it's too late now anyway, I am fitting it to a car at the moment. I will be placing another order Transgo soon, let me know if you want one and I will order a few extra kits. They take 2-4 weeks to get here.
  21. Just get Jez to drain that crap 98 out of the tank and run e85 from now on, no more knock.
  22. When you compare the VQ25det with Variable cams to the VQ30det without, the turbo response and power seem very similar even though the engines are 500cc apart. At a guess the Vcam (vq35 cam actuator) upgrade for the RB26 would make it feel like a 2.8 - 3L in response, although it sells with a higher duration cam I assume, which may drop response back slightly again.
  23. I have a spare Transgo kit here, if you need one shipped over PM me. Good news on the Uprev tuner, hopefully they know their shit. Have you heard good reports?
