  1. You are supposed to spray the inside anyway... Not a fan.
  2. 5W40 or 10W40 would do you fine, Nissan recommended a 7.5W40 for Japan which gets a lot colder than NZ.
  3. Probably around 400kw on the right setup. Yours, who knows...
  4. Not suitable means untested, just a way to protect them from unknown issues that may arise. I ran my Tomei for a year on e85, and now Artz has it on e85 and petrol with no issues. I would still get the Walbro e85 pump over it, simply as it is half the price.
  5. The drivetrain is fairly robust, much the same as 34GTR running gear. The auto requires at least a shiftkit to perform anywhere near as well as it should, and the turbo is a grenade due to the stock 14psi on a ceramic turbine. The AFM's are known to fail, but mine is still the 12 year old original. Crank/cam sensors can occasionally fail, especially if the recall for them wasn't carried out. Other than that the car is very reliable, even at triple the stock power.
  6. ^ This guy knows. He can be a little grumpy, and he charges through the nose, but when you have no other choice, he's a life saver.
  7. Lol, are they fuel safe? Nissan ones aren't expensive... Not a part I would be skimping coin on.
  8. It's a much better idea than an RB conversion, lol, but like I said, you only need the VQ25det and loom and the Emanage Ultimate for it to slot in, as far as I know. The BCM etc won't work in your car...
  9. Ahh, wobbly wheels... Good chance it's playing up. All the other suggestions will get worse with speed, like buckled rim and bearings. Faulty Hicas will just wallow around at any speed. Have you had the dash apart recently? There is a steering position sensor under there...
  10. I think they did buddy...
  11. Ah, on the pump end, right. Don't try and remove it from the metal pipe coming over from the passenger side, or the plastic part you removed. That plastic is quite brittle also. The Oring is a 350z part, any Nissan dealer will be able to supply it. You will need to replace it every time you enter either side of the tank, they don't like being re-used and will leak.
  12. Get a room you two. Kebab Joint, fark yeh...
  13. You need to learn some electronics basics, raising the voltage will lower the current draw, which is why the Walbro's fail at the low cruise voltage. That stalling your car is doing while idling and cruising is the pump stalling out, bad news for the pump.
  14. I wouldn't believe it normally, but then I saw Stao's car do 385kw on the 10cm housing. No idea how such a small rear can flow that much...
  15. No it's off the housing Artz, so you found someone up there to fab my design ideas Mark? Looks great. Had it tuned yet? I did a T67 this way not long ago, no results though. Using the gate as the bend makes the path as straight as it can be, especially if plumbing the screamer back.
  16. No, the fuel gauge will show empty-half tank with one removed. The hose you have tangled is the suction from the other side of the tank, this definitely needs to stay and is not able to be removed without damaging the hose. Did you twist the pump assy around or something? The float sits beside the bowl in the tank, I assume you waited till the tank was empty to start the job? Perhaps you bent the float arm?
  17. If you want simple spannering, buy a Tial housing on a top mount mani. One nut.
  18. I agree, as long as the afr's are ok why bother. At least the Impul gets rid of the AFM cut. If you went to a larger turbo than that you would have to back out timing too, as it is the impul would be running a crapload more timing than my map...
  19. If you would like me to tell you I think its the best idea ever, and you should really do it... I still wont. But seriously try it out, I would like to see the shroud design you come up with.
  20. So why post the thread? You were warned...
  21. There is an increase in price by my calculations though, and the thread was comparing the Garretts only I thought. I will definitely be looking at the FP3582HTA for the Evo 7 stroker build I have coming up, hopefully it lives up to your expectations of it Lith. Is there a split external housing available? I like many others are sceptical due to the inflated dyno figures coming out of the US, with local results I would be more confident I guess.
  22. Eh? Noise is inefficiency, as it takes energy to make the noise. Mine is almost silent.
