  1. White smoke is usually coolant I think, are you sure it's white? No blue tinge? The oil seal in the rear of the turbo can leak sometimes, especially if the drain is partially blocked. I wonder if anything further on the turbo was damaged? That dump took a hard hit... The only other thing I could think of is you cracked a ringland when the boost spiked, did it knock? I would guess a Sierra stage 1 has more than enough puff to max the injectors. You could try a compression test.
  2. Daleo: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/user/61153-daleo/ The underbody bracing is standard on the series 2 V35's, or you could get Daleo to make you the front one perhaps? There are also OX Motorsport ones. It ties the suspension together similar to a strut brace on the earlier skylines, and makes a noticeable difference to handling by stopping chassis flex.
  3. Get both front and rear Whiteline bars through Daleo, and front and rear underbody bracing, both must do mods...
  4. Lol ^^ Mafia loves HKS bov's. Did you actually count the posts GTSBoy?
  5. I leave it plumbed back for fear of catching teh gaids.
  6. It shouldn't be the disk, it is cast onto the camshaft. Sorry mate, if I were local I could have a look for you, these faults can be quite annoying.
  7. Lol. But I have proof.
  8. Yeh mate, PM'd. He just tuned my car again tonight, a 30psi tune for Sunday's SAU Dyno day. Very happy with his work.
  9. PM'd. I have the same rattle just starting at the moment on my car, and I don't have too many spare assemblies. Mainly happens around 2200 - 2500 revs right? One clunk per revolution.
  10. Hey Mat, nice ride. What suburb are you in?
  11. The high octane rating means more oxygen in the fuel = burns hotter. The 7's seem fine but the tuner wants 8's to cool the combustion chamber down more. There is certainly a lot of heat in there, imagine the heat 8L of ethanol can produce when burnt (within a minute.) I would hate to think how much crank HP it's putting out, this auto is leeching power like crazy.
  12. Just make sure the thread isn't stainless, two of Jase's plugs nearly seized in the head. I thought I was going to have to helicoil it, luckily they freed up with some WD. I have never had this happen before with NGK's. My next set may be NGK racing plugs in 8 heat range. Can you suggest anything else that cold?
  13. It would depend more on the design and material of the thrust washer, and whether the oem oil restrictor banjo was opened up enough or replaced.
  14. I have 2 6 speed boxes here for the same reason, but I couldn't bring myself to ruin the car, keeping it awd is the only way. Why not drop a 33 GTR box in there?
  15. Yep, or even cheaper in the US if you bring in a few sets.
  16. I thought open face helmets were designed so womenz can apply makeup with the helmet on...
  17. Just telling it how it is mate. Not telling you to change, just letting everyone know my experiences, it's not like there is a price difference. Perhaps you drive like a pussy compared to Jase?
  18. Drop around, I have a VQ25det apart at the moment, I can show you the parts and explain what has failed.
  19. NGK Iridium LFR7AIX. I get them from ebay mate. Or you could get them from Harold (Performancelub). Still perfect after 20,000 k's on my car. Don't get the IKH22's, a few sets I have noticed the threads galling in the head, probably due to them being stainless, and the tip melts within 20,000 (on a stock Stagea). Perhaps the IKH24's might be better, with some anti-seize paste? Or just run the NGK's like me.
  20. That's the setup I am doing Dale, how is yours going?
  21. Nuwan doesn't seem to know these electromagnetic VQ25's too well, the last guy got a 5k quote for engine out, replace cam chains etc and it wouldn't have fixed the issue. Will be interesting to see what he has to say. Yours is a 2.5? I can definitely have a look for you, get on to it soon as it will only get worse.
  22. Plugs are easy, I just did mine in 20 minutes. The 20,000 K old ngk's looked perfect but I have another tune tomorrow.
  23. Also, how was the speed measured, they need to follow you for 500M to ascertain speed, not just through the roundabout... Unless he had the radar out?
  24. You still need the overflow bottle, it just runs from the swirl pot instead of the radiator. Otherwise as the water cools it can never suck water back in introducing air back in to the system.
