  1. Good to hear. I have a car here with the same symptoms (other than engine light), it has a seized turbo. Be glad you got out of it so cheap. I have to order a new accelerator pedal assembly from Amayama next week, so I will see their great service first hand hopefully.
  2. Pierburg pumps are good, they are the only pumps that can pull fuel up a hose, which is why I use one as a fuel transfer pump for draining tanks. A surge tank is not related to a particular power, it's how you drive, hard cornering and drag launches on less than half tank that require engine protection against fuel surge. I would leave the 044 setup unless you putt around town.
  3. Sounds like your breather hoses are split and leaking. Replace them with heater hose and try again, any leak can affect idle and cruise.

  5. I have been using a UniTig 200 ac/dc (chinese unit) for about 5 years now, it does a pretty good job considering you can pick them up for around $1300. Is it for business use or home?
  6. I saw this again today, still there. Who's is it? Do they need a hand with getting it off the freeway? Is it stolen?
  7. How is the BOV return plumbed? Is everything stock including the intake?
  8. Usually you go up a size with the divided housings, as the splitter takes up internal room. I would think the .82 would work best, or if you want early spool at the expense of a little top end and transient response, go with the .78. There isnt much between them anyway. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Garrett-78-A-R-Divided-T3-Turbine-housing-GT30R-3071R-3076R-3040R-3082R-GTX30R-/380586538982?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item589cb9b7e6#ht_1791wt_902
  9. No, because you are pressurising the entire engine. I just remove the afm, plug the pipe and fill with compressed air to around 20-30psi. The closed exhaust valves usually hold the air back from my experience.
  10. I've always been a bit sus on ATP housings, if it's a Garrett housing then yes, even a Tial or Tial copy work well. I must admit though, if you could external gate one of these off the housing and slap it on a stock manifold, it could be a great thing. They come in 3 different AR's too. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Garrett-GT30R-0-82-A-R-T3-DIVIDED-Turbine-Housing-3071r-/380224448142?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item588724a68e&_uhb=1#ht_1237wt_902
  11. Stock intake? They suck shut at around 200kw unless you slide a bit of 3 inch pipe inside them...
  12. Needs moar Hypergear... What did Trent say?
  13. I have a bag full now if anyone needs a set.
  14. I would be interested in the rest, if Scriblez only wants a couple...
  15. That just attracts spectators, we need more cars on board... C'mon Aaron, start spruiking.
  16. All the dyno shit talk will stop when we all get on the rollers at RTR right? Same dyno, same conditions. Now, who hasn't paid yet? Aaron isn't selling it too hard and I don't want it cancelled. Get on board guys...
  17. They would have to drop the valve body to replace the solenoid, $500 is a little expensive, but they did diagnose the fault and they need to warrant their work. If it fixes the fault I guess you got out of it cheap, a s/h box would cost a lot more than that fitted...
  18. I would be interested to see inside the bore, and perhaps the plugs tips if they are still there. I too noticed the dint in the backing shield, dare I say Det damage? It looks like it's been blasted by hot metal particles.
  19. 1 in 4 chance of winning a DD track day, sounds good.
  20. I just called them, they only sell the square orings in bulk. I can perhaps buy a bag of 100 and split them up if you like, PM me about it.
  21. Sounds like over temperature gearbox limp mode. Do you have an external trans cooler?
  22. Injectorsonline have the square section orings locally if you need them, $100 shipping is a joke.
  23. I don't think this will work properly on a Garrett, as there is no way you could get the length spot on for every turbo. Just run the 3an restrictor with a 90 degree bend off it, or if you need to run the banjo for clearance, remove the Garrett flare restrictor perhaps. More importantly, if you are running a BB core, make sure you fit a filter inline. It doesn't take much crud to block a 1mm hole.
