  1. The ethanol content can vary, but it barely affects afr's. If you were worried you could just fatten up the maps a little. I run United e85 and can fill on eflex in a pinch with no problems, just tune for the highest ethanol content you can. That said, the Haltech ethanol content sensor is only $200, plus whatever your tuner wants to install and tune it.
  2. Something Stao mentioned recently and I have noticed first hand, the larger AR turbine housings actually increase response as there is more exhaust energy to spin up the compressor, it all just happens a little later. The gt30 .82 is the happy medium for a 2.5 imo. (but my car runs variable cams which increases the midrange punch.) Without vct I would be chasing anything that can decrease spool time.
  3. Aznew charge $25 I think to clean and flow test an injector. Don't bother with in-tank injector cleaners, the mesh filter in the top of the injector is most likely blocked. If you remove the injectors, make sure you replace the orings.
  4. I ran a stock m35 Stagea ceramic turbo up to 19psi on e85, I ran it like that for 5 months while I got the parts together for the GTX. Either Nissan started making the ceramic wheels stronger, or it is the age of the turbo that makes it fail quicker. (heat cycles and old worn rear bearings)
  5. The seats are in good condition, they just need a good clean. No cuts or holes that I can find.
  6. The seal is in there somewhere, in the back of the car. It has tan color edging, does that suit?
  7. A few of the M35 Stagea guys already know if you track the car you will need a PS cooler, as they have blown the pump. It doesn't have to be very big, I run a small 5 row motorcycle oil cooler and it's fine on even the hottest days at the track. Definitely change the PS fluid, as well as dropping the engine oil. You should be glad you don't have temp sensors for them, you would have a heart attack over how hot everything gets.
  8. Looks great Trent, that twin 4 inch intake is excessive but it looks great.
  9. I'm working in the pits at PI this weekend, should be some nice cars there... Better than model trains Martin. Apparently Skaife and Richards are driving...
  10. Anyone with a lathe could re-groove them.
  11. But then a GTR owner somewhere will be missing his engine...
  12. With race fuel too right? It certainly doesn't come on as hard as a GT, but without knowing the housing AR's there is little use comparing them I guess.
  13. No idea yet, still waiting for the call back.
  14. If you are planning to go e85, just drop some Bosch ev14 1000's in there with the 416lph Walbro e85 pump. The SS2PU should get you there with minimal lag...
  15. How did you check the AFM?
  16. There were 125 search results for coolant bleeding. Here is a recent one for you. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/406363-coolant-reservoir-problem-or-not/?hl=%2Bcooland+%2Bbleeding#entry6476678
  17. I think your car's fu*ked. We need more information to help you.
  18. Good, more for me.
  19. No, not the sprint... Go the PS2000 please...
  20. Diesel sux teh ballz Nick. No worries Patrick.
  21. You don't need the afm anymore Ryan, you just need to sort out the fcon. I reset all the ecu's in my car yesterday, now I have no airbag light flashing, and the engine light is off. First time I have had a clear dash since I bought it 4 years ago. It did have an 'app' code, which I assume is Accelerator Pedal Position, I have another sensor on order at Nissan to rule it out. Hopefully that's all it is, otherwise I will have to disconnect the cruise for a while I guess. If it keeps going into limp mode then, I will be going for a new ecu, either a 350z Haltech platinum pro or a Link g4, for the throttle and cam drivers. That should fix it.
  22. I have seen people using worm drive hose clamps in tight situations, perhaps they could get you out of trouble for now? I would go with the billet alloy ones Daleo has though, oh that's right, I did.
