  1. If that is correct, the 10 amp fuse in the IPDM is blown, it resides behind the battery.
  2. Can you just bolt one of these to the stock manifold? Screw running wastegates, the're for pussies. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Garrett-GT28RS-2871R-82-A-R-T3-DIVIDED-Turbine-Housing-/380188400533?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5884fe9b95&_uhb=1#ht_1331wt_902
  3. Mmm, Trent's first M35? Not bad power mate. He has the Hypergear SS2 with billet compressor apparently. (I thought it was an SS1PU.)
  4. Hey Mick I will reply to your PM shortly. It definitely sounds like limp mode, and seeing as the car still runs I doubt it's the cam/crank sensors, perhaps another throttle TPS issue? They have been common lately. The Consult will give us a better idea of what's happening. Speak to you soon.
  5. I just can't believe 400kw can flow through that tiny 10cm housing. What size gate was that Stao? I wonder if going up a size will allow that couple of extra watts?
  6. I modified my stock VQ rails, tigging 6an fittings to the end of them, but I am fairly sure Proflow do a nissan reg adapter fitting if you want to run a hose off the rail where the reg was. Perhaps just relocate the stock reg if you don't want adjustability? I went aftermarket with an SX reg, no issues in 3 years on ethanol. If you are looking for stealth, the side feeds may be the best option.
  7. So there is perhaps something different between the boxes? You sorted out the pivot bolt already, right? Could it still be the wrong length? Have you compared the size of the input shafts? Was the pilot bushing lubricated/replaced? Perhaps the throwout bearing is faulty? All these are things than need to be checked while it's on the hoist. What makes noise is slowly wearing so you should keep an eye out for metal flakes etc. It should be fairly obvious I imagine.
  8. I thought you had plenty of corn juice pumps over there Amon, no ethanol near you?
  9. Rather than sales dribble, we would prefer some proof. Can you supply some detailed information of the differences between your injectors and the standard Bosch ev14's, and why they are worth the extra price? Why did you modify the spray pattern, was there a design flaw you were trying to engineer out? Any information you can give is appreciated, we love technical responses.
  10. I still run the stock airbox, same as the V35 one other than a custom "power duct" that yours comes standard with. Much better than running a pod.
  11. The stock intake is good for 350kw, what is yours putting out at the moment?
  12. Yep, it's an 80mm (3.125 inch) intake, with 2 mm wall = 3 inch internal. Tube is measured as outside diameter though. 3 inch silicone will stretch over luckily as 80mm silicone reducers are impossible to find. You may need to heat the silicone to soften it enough.
  13. Sounds like the battery has a dead cell, it should be well over 12V. Most Australian batteries only last a year or two, good German/Japanese ones last much longer, sometimes over 8 years.
  14. Or just turn the crank with a socket and bar? You will definitely hear leaks, at 30psi there will be plenty...
  15. Because there is a problem. Like I have already said, as long as there are no valves in overlap, there should be no leaks. If your catch can/breather is leaking or not plumbed into the intake then you will have issues, either fix them temporarily or permanently.
  16. You have one of my intakes, they are 80mm, like the afm. Why do you want to block the pipe at the throttle? You want to test the vac lines and manifold too. I usually just put a brass hose barb in the end, just let me know what size you need (they are imperial like all air fittings.) A bike pump won't cut it, you need a compressor to supply enough flow or the leaks will drop the pressure. Has anyone pressurised the intake to over 40psi? I noticed the new silicone joiners compress and leak no matter how tight you do up the clamp, making funny squeak noises. (like blowing through a gum leaf.)
  17. Going 4 inch is only going to improve flow if you have no AFM, otherwise it's pointless. If 4 inch looks better, perhaps you should have gone 6 inch, omg that would look hektic.
  18. Now that's funny, cheers for the early morning laugh Leon.
  19. C'mon Leon, you know Iain won't do it. Translate it for us too, while you're there...
  20. I will let you know when I go again, I would have got you one but I don't have your number, sorry Alvin, next time.
  21. It wouldn't take a very large particle to block a 1.5mm hole. Sorry to hear anyway Michael. I am heading down a similar path with a blown Evo motor (going 2.4L stroker, self built), hopefully it's oil feeds are clear and the bearings aren't too munched...
  22. That was Artz drooling. Yep. On topic, have there been any strange noises under your bonnet yet Dale? Swearing and the like?
  23. I could spin something up on the lathe for you, not difficult. Do you have a compressor?
  24. I think they can modify the pintle tip for any size. Just go the 2000's Disco, better resale value. That said, the smaller the size the cheaper for some stupid reason.
  25. No need to explain why you had that photo handy Dale... We understand... Only chicks I saw at Golburn were you and Craig, Alex.
