  1. Oh noes.
  2. Read the post I made, ID's ARE Bosch ev14's. Either will open much quicker than an old sidefeed design. The Neo runs a 14mm injector rail. You will probably have to frig around with it to install, or just hit up Injectors online (xspurt) for a matching rail, they are cheap, and spray it matt black.
  3. I am amazed HKS didn't try and sell you a hektic atmo BOV with your kit... Oh that's right, only 1psi boost was made.
  4. Lol. I have seen what they do to the pintle, they just chamfer the tip so they fit multiple uses I think. A quick 45 degree cut to the metal on the end using a carbide bit in the lathe, much newer than that lathe and more practical. At least theirs has a drive belt...
  5. Sounds very smart, but you can still run aftermarket racing seats right? Just not fixed back buckets. They are bloody stupid on the road anyway. (from experience)
  6. I can't f*kn believe that, reminds me of Dredd, proven guilty on the spot and shot. God forbid there were children in the car, or a pedestrian walking nearby in the crossfire. Take those stupid handguns of those stupid traffic cops forchristsake. In other news, the 2.4L 800hp Manly stroker kit arrived for my Evo build.
  7. EV14's are made by Bosch. All ID do are apparently flow match them. (at what pressure I have no idea, flow would probably change at higher pressure.) Bosch guarantee less than 2% variation from the factory. Xspurt, the Australian wholesaler, have sold many 1000's of ev14's and never had one returned. I have personally fitted about 6 sets without issue, and as a high volume customer of theirs I can get some great pricing...
  8. If you have driven one with the BOV blocked you may change your mind, it can ruin the part throttle response and make the car jolt badly, mainly when dropping off boost. As there is nothing stopping the compressor, and no purge, you will get boost spiking, perhaps up to 50psi in the intake. This can cause pipes to split or pop off, as well as damaging the turbo. Just not worth it imo, other than the stupid noises that scare the chicks away...
  9. It's a shame we can't get the cruise to operate through the can network, I suspect the cruise setups we are using at the moment cause occasional differences in resistance, triggering limp mode for the throttle circuit. I have had to disconnect one of yours Chris, and I think mine is still playing up too after already swapping the throttle and pedal assys. I will be dropping the adapter loom for the pedal next, to see if the occasional limp mode stops occurring.
  10. How's the jack going anyway? Pretty good value imo...
  11. I just replaced that hose on a 33 recently and used standard heater hose. What size is the fitting? Is the 34 a different size?
  12. Sorry mate, flat out. I have PM'd you Ali.
  13. Reclining seats are ok though, right?
  14. It will most likely be the BOV Rudi. Try sliding a sheet of coke can under the bov as a test, it will make completely different noises then. Zutututu. All the ones I have here do the same thing, it's just play in the plastic disk that causes it I think. The Turbosmart Kompact plumb back works well if you want to upgrade, or perhaps a GTR BOV would work?
  15. Just buy a T3 flange and longer studs. Will 10 - 12mm make it clear?
  16. Yes, different boots. Only the passenger side has the half moon cut outs on the CV housing. I think that part number is for the complete shaft.
  17. That won't work well. The bov enters at the wrong angle. You will get some bad reversion across the afm hotwire Ted.
  18. I think a Servo at Albury and one at Yass would see me to Sydney fairly easily. A long range tank would be great though until then, it takes too long to fill with the jerries. I will have 100L capacity soon, once the 20L poly surge tank goes in. Still not enough.
  19. I'm secretly hoping someone will work out how to set up the Fcon Vpro with the new Haltech ethanol sensor, I heard it's only a couple of hundred... I will probably have to work it out myself as usual. Does anyone have detailed information on them yet?
  20. Depending on the height of the catch can, as it needs to be lower, can you shove some stainless steel wool up the breather pipe and plumb it back into the intake? Most of the venting breather setups I have seen make a mess of the engine bay with oil vapour.
  21. We are only talking about what, a 4% difference in fuel requirements between e85 and e70? not a huge deal. Is a flex tune really warranted for swapping between them?
  22. So are you planning to divulge the turbo specs yet Warlord? I was hoping it was the GTX3576... Good result anyway imo, hopefully there is more in it.
  23. My Stagea is a GTR wagon, am I welcome? I can put a GTR badge on if it helps my cause.
  24. I can definitely help with that Mat. I too use the box to engine brake, but it wears the drum and band. I have had to replace them recently, along with the 4th and 5th gear cluches which I completely stripped of friction material. This is with a $5k built box. Tracking an auto probably isn't a smart idea...
  25. It also locks the torque converter constantly in 'manual' meaning more power. (no loss in the converter) Unfortunately I must drive in manual mode all the time as I have lag. These boxes always want to be in 5th and take forever to change back to lower gears when in auto.
