  1. Once you change the turbo, the ecu isn't mapped for the extra flow and dumps fuel to compensate. When you hit the windscreen on airflow cut, it's definitely time to drop the cash on some tuning.
  2. Are you going to track/drag it? Perhaps it's better to go to a surge tank now rather than later?
  3. If you don't need the flow, all you will do is heat the fuel. One pump will flow more than most require, are you planning to run 450+kw?
  4. Dumping twice as much cranking fuel in the engine, mine still has some issues at under 10 degrees. Obviously the lower the compression and further south you are, the worse off you will be. It really chuggs through the ethanol doing short school runs in winter... Running the EMU previously I had no cranking enrichment table. I had to fit a stock injector into the plenum, with a 1L petrol reservoir and old stock fuel pump to get me started in the mornings. It worked well. I'm starting to think water meth is a better idea than e85. No cold start issues, more k's to the tank, no jerries in the back on long trips. Perhaps even running 98, a secondary e85 tank and another set of injectors might work out better for me.
  5. In summer no issue, in winter with cold start fuel dumping in you could perhaps flood the engine. No big deal as the plugs won't foul anyway, just let it sit for a while if it floods and it will start fine.
  6. OMG... Aaron's twin. Hang on, I too own an Emo, and wear the odd hoodie... Oh noes...
  7. Just compressed air works well, make up a bung for the intake of the turbo and pump 30psi into it. Blowing bong smoke up there just makes the escaping air easier to see but you will hear any leaks just fine.
  8. If you send a drawing with dimensions I can make one up for you...
  9. If you know so much about reversion and it's effects then why ask for our help? What GTS said is spot on, you could possibly fudge the tune enough to get by but it will never work perfectly (and will probably cost you a few hundred in tuning time) Either put the old rubber pos back on, or plumb back the bov to stop the stalling. Pretty simple. Make sure the bov return faces the compressor wheel.
  10. So they have Japanese Uprev software? Cool... But why? They have been able to remap the stock ecu since forever.
  11. Imagine my tuner's reaction when I asked him to tune with Japanese software. PITA. Why would they use English S/W over Japanese? The Z33 has so many better tuning options than Uprev, it's only benefit is cost.
  12. ^^ this. I doubt slightly smaller diameter runners would hurt top end on a 400kw e85 build. What sort of power do the standard 6boobs flow?
  13. Uprev? They don't speak English dude.
  14. I run both Caltex and United on the same tune with no issues. On the road the variation between the two would barely be noticeable. As long as you tune for the higher ethanol percentage the afr's will only become richer anyway.
  15. What's wrong with the left hand, Just like home... Or is it right?
  16. Was it raining in Frangas today Artz?
  17. They never have, and I doubt they ever will.
  18. As Leon said, the obd2 port outputs the correct speed. Just get an informeter and use that as a speedo.
  19. Hook a switch to the window release. Instant DRS.
  20. I can't see it... Needs to be painted another color to stand out... Orange perhaps? Is it tech screwed down?
  21. That was my pick, I was too worried to head down that path when Link NZ refused to help with setting up the camshaft signals. The frequencies are much different to the 350z due to the electronic actuation, meaning a VQ35 map may cause piston damage on the VQ25det. As Trent recently managed to adjust the output frequencies for an rb26 Vcam install, I am confident the link can do it, but this car will be the first. Anyway, I am interested to help out if it's required and I will probably be heading down this path myself very soon, I already have the information they will need. (Oscilloscope captures, frequencies etc) I hope it all goes to plan for you guys.
  22. Eflex = 70% ethanol, and has always been. I have been running United for a few years, I ran out recently on a long trip and had to fill on Caltex Eflex, the tune was only a little rich and I didn't notice any difference driving the car. If you plan to fill on both just tune on the United e85 and enjoy.
