  1. If the bolts are bottoming out you will need to trim them, or run more washers.
  2. $900 is a lot of coin for me to have sitting on the shelf. If only Stao had a spare one handy...
  3. Everyone wants a different size though.
  4. Speak to Craig (Jetwreck), he does them pretty cheap, drive in drive out. Unless you are doing it yourself?
  5. Definitely the turbo, it sounds like the compressor is rubbing on the front housing. It's been very common lately, they are dropping like flies.
  6. Just make your own, it's not hard to hold two pumps steady on a bracket. Or just run a single e85 Walbro 400L, similar flow to twin 255's.
  7. Grab it Artz. I wish I had $600 laying around...
  8. I doubt it, I have been running E85 for nearly 4 years, my oil has always blackened quickly. The combustion chamber is clean, and so are the rest of the engine internals.
  9. It will love the boost. Don't be too scared to lean on it. If you upgraded the head studs while it was apart it would be good for 4-500kw, otherwise keep it around 300 or it will lift the head. If the water temp rises too much on the dyno, contact me for one of my block coolant kits. I think it should work on the VQ30det.
  10. That's quite impressive Jon, can I ask how hard were the cam shims to find? It looks like our engines are nearly identical other than the EVCT and larger slugs.
  11. That tailshaft is a thing of beauty. Love the fabrication work.
  12. Wat? Mine is jet black after 500ks, sounds like there is no detergent in the oil. [
  13. It's nearly completed Josh, will have it out Monday. Are you fitting it yourself?
  14. If it hadn't been thrashed... lol. Beautiful car, sorry to see it being sold, I know Terry will miss it dearly. If only I had a spare house or two to sell...
  15. I can't drive it Nick, no head on the block. The best I can do is make bruuum bruuuuum noises from the drivers seat. Im still a Stagea driver, unlike that Aaron evotard. Are we doin this, for realz?
  16. Make an offer guys. I have a brand new Nismo coppermix twin plate clutch for sale (PN: 3002A-RSZ30), arguably the best street clutch available for the VQ. It comes complete with new flywheel and bolts, throw out bearing, Nismo needle roller and stock bronze bush spigot bearings. RRP is $3300, looking for $2200. I also have two 6spd manual 350z gearboxes available with low K's, one of which has a small hole in the case. (repairable or good for spares.) PM me if interested. Going in a different direction and keeping the slush box.
  17. I may be able to source you a s/h one, I have some here and there is a pair in Sydney, otherwise you could hit the wreckers, or buy a new one through Nissan? Anything from the states will take two weeks to get here and shipping sometimes makes it too expensive. Find the part number on SAU with a search and look around online, you might find a bargain...
  18. I would need 2 pitstops I think. I still don't know what a flatcapper is, but it sounds better than being a Sydneysider... You guys are weird.
  19. What's your location? Sounds like the crank angle sensor if the engine is cutting out, or perhaps the cam sensor. I would say take it to someone that can check the code first.
  20. Mexican standoff at Winton? Battle of the states...
  21. My stock VQ pump hits over 10 bar (150psi) in the mornings, the oil filter has never blown off yet... lol.
  22. The drivers side just clips in, lever it out with a flat blade or similar, or tap it out with a Nylon hammer. Make sure you do the bolts up on the diff first, you don't want that coming apart.
  23. It should be ok, the rear had a shunt but the rear subframe seems to be unharmed. I will have to rip it out and have a look. All you will need is the rear part, the front will unbolt from it. I will PM you when I get time, or just contact me if it's urgent.
