  1. Yet...
  2. Has this been proven Rudi? It's simple to drill out the restrictor in the solenoid line a little to bump the boost. I would prefer the non ARX if that is the case... Don't get the LSD model either, as you will get wobbly wheels with it (Hicas) Just get the non LSD model and buy a 350z LSD later as the ratios are better...
  3. So Cihan should disclose all his tuning secrets so other tuners can copy his work? It won't happen... Too much time has been invested by him into the VQ25det now to just give the information away, I think my car has over 200 dyno runs on it already... Not far to drive over Ryan for peace of mind...
  4. FYP By the way Birds, my daughter wanted to know if you were a little girl, due to your avatar pic. I said yes, the girl you met last night.
  5. I told you to do them but noooooo, 'my hand hurts'...
  6. This is Aaron we are talking about, he was getting a sore wrist after the 1500 sandpaper. lol
  7. Get in the V series forum, there is plenty if info on it in there. Sounds like your Bose stereo has taken out the aircon control board...
  8. SynX 6000 is a 5w40 but at $120 for a 20L drum it's damn good value. The Gulf 1 is the thick race oil. 10w60.
  9. Nice job on keeping it split to the gate there Brad. Interested to see how this one goes.
  10. There is a United on Princess just near your place apparently, otherwise it's just down the road in Springvale, or Blackburn road... Sounds like excuses to me. lol.
  11. No mate, no emails about the HKS...
  12. That's because Gulf Western have a different PAO group IV, Gulf 1, but it is too thick for my liking, perhaps for a track car... http://www.gulfwestern.com.au/Petrol%20Oil_Gulf1.html I still have a few bottles of GW's group V Sougi 6000 here, when it runs out I may have to find another ethanol suitable oil...
  13. Be careful mate, you're getting close to blown engine territory... Get it tuned soon...
  14. So your mate is a mechanic and needs our help? lol. And you wonder why I haven't put up a how to...
  15. Big job, best to get Craig to do it, seriously. Have you gotten quotes from other mechanics yet?
  16. You sure about that? All the cars I fitted one of mine to hit airflow cut from maxed injectors.
  17. I drove my VQ for a year like that, without realising it was the head gasket. It let go in a big way on the dyno during a tune. Get a carbon test done on the coolant, it should show up any combustion bubbles making their way into the cooling system.
  18. I think the last one I did was only 260mm long. I have the block fitting pointing towards the bleeder, it makes it a little shorter and gives better clearance from the exhaust. Definitely do the proflow fittings up tight in the vice first, with a little lubricant. Don't try and tighten them in the car, it will come loose and leak.
  19. We all started somewhere Matt, it's a good place to learn the ropes that's for sure. Good talking to you the other day, I hope you keep your passion for cars, that's the most important part.
  20. Lol, I have a printer/scanner here but it's a fair drive to Hampton Park for a copy. Officeworks?
  21. Good to hear its running fine Marcus.
  22. Lol, you obviously didn't click on the link. Why don't you try some gear oil? Thicker oil won't save your engine, more likely it will cause damage, and certainly isn't recommended by Nissan.
  23. The wheel bearings just make a grinding noise, usually it gets worse as you go around corners. Vibration could be uneven tyre size causing the attessa to play up but if it only happened after taking the tailshaft out, perhaps they dropped it? Where are you located? I have a complete tailshaft here, you could try swapping it over if you are local. The brakes just need machining, $25 a disk I think if you remove them.
  24. There will be a rusty mark where the flanges meet, so if that lines up you can only have it one of two ways. (front half anyway) I have tried mine in different positions with no vibration, perhaps my tailshaft is well balanced?
