  1. Is Alex starting a 'back to stock' thread for this?
  2. I think I have a couple of sensors here Andrew, I can also check which sensor is playing up with the consult III if you like. You're in Melbourne aren't you?
  3. Bosch ev14 1000's are the best injector around for the price, same as ID 1000's. They can be bought cheap locally with warranty under the brand Xspurt. Bosch also do 725's if you are worried the 1000's are too big, although there is no difference to idle etc. Personally I would go the 1000's just in case you want an e85 tune one day.
  4. Try a lower current. I would usually use around 20-25 amps on my machine with no pulse on thin wall stainless like that. The bead will go black if it's too hot with no gas shield. Are you purging the inside? Best to get the cuts dead flat so there is no gap, then you don't need filler...
  5. ^^ This. Rewire the pump through a relay and take it back for a clean up tune.
  6. The fuel price is right so why not just extend your fuel system with a 20L poly surge tank with a Walbro 400L e85 pump and be done. I'm sticking mine in the wheel well of the Stagea. Or carry a jerry in the boot?
  7. Give me a PM if you are selling the stuffed gearbox, I need a new case for my spare, it has a hole in it...
  8. $3000, not bad. Shame you didn't try the Dextron III though, I think that would have been a cheaper fix... Perhaps it's too late now anyway.
  9. He finished his, just the parts would cost too much to replicate. I need to find a V35 halfcut first Ryan, do you have one? (The auto is being strengthened some more, I should have it back on the road next week.)
  10. The best chance we had was the 350z guy who went AWD, he was planning to cad the bellhousing and sell an AWD kit for the 34 box. Costs were too high unfortunately. RWD should be easy with a V35 manual halfcut. Still looking for one though...
  11. Iridiums are fine, they are just harder to gap down. Some say you will gain a little power from going copper but the trade off is you may need to change them every 10,000k's or so. Iridiums can last 80-160,000k's if you keep them cool. They still melt if abused.
  12. You can quite easily see the weld, there is no weld there from factory.
  13. The r34 box needs extensive mods to fit Ryan, custom cut and shut bellhousing, major floor pan modification, custom gearbox mounts etc. I would say there is an easy 20k blown there at least. The extended sump is only needed for the oil return, my car was fine at the track oil pickup wise, so our stock setup works very well.
  14. Definitely not. And no aircon? I don't see how the dump will get through there with the driveshaft in the way either.
  15. Oi, back to work cutting my plates.
  16. Lol, my $25 ball and spring won't hold stable boost, there must be something wrong with it...
  17. No worries Darrin, all this info is here, just spend the night doing a search.
  18. The adapter plates are made over in Perth somewhere, have a read of this thread... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/358412-z32-300zx-with-vq30-twin-turbo-conversion/ He will know where they came from... As for the cams, they are constantly variable giving around 40kw more midrange in my car and making the turbo much more responsive. Well worth keeping the evct if you can, I know Trent (Status) got the Link G4 to work with a similar Vcam RB26 setup which proved it was possible, I guess you need to find a good tuner that doesn't mind experimenting.
  19. The VQ25det manifolds bolt up to the VQ35de heads. Just drop it in with either a 350z/V35 6 speed box or a 300zxTT box and adapter plate. You would be best getting a standalone ecu, Link, Vipec or Haltech but there are cam actuation issues to work through.
  20. Multi grips can work well, or a better filter wrench. The screwdriver through the side as a worst case. I don't use Drift filters anymore due to bad experiences but the K+N ones are cheap and have a similar hex adapter on the top...
  21. I don't think anyone would say the T67 is as good as a GT35, they are also quite different. If you want to make 400kw I would be going for the gt35 with a tank of ethanol. 350 you could get away with the T67 or a gtx3076.
  22. They are exactly the same, other than they are apparently flow matched. These are a natural gas injector so they can't be guaranteed to work long term with ethanol I have been told, but there have been no complaints from the other guys on the forum. Injectorsonline can do them locally, and may be able to flow test them for you also. They can come with 10.2mm extenders so they actually fit the rail unlike a lot of the 11mm ones.
  23. My Chinese Consult III unit works for diagnostics, but only the more expensive and latest ones work apparently. If anyone is interested I will do a group buy as the price comes down as you buy more units.
  24. I think that side is fine, well the passenger tail lights were perfect...
  25. Lol, I don't know how many times I have offered to make a 'pop charger" for a V and been knocked back because it isn't genuine.
