  1. Luckily I had AWD, it loved the track, for about 2 laps before the trans went into overheating limp mode. I don't think I would take a stock valve bodied car to the track though, the clutches would slip badly imo, causing more heat. Do you have a large trans cooler?
  2. The original owner is not very happy. I spoke with him tonight. 'What did they do to my baby?'
  3. It looks almost exactly like my report, I wonder if they copy and paste. lol. My engine is still going a year later... I suspect they don't take into account high revving boosted applications will have more wear than an old mining diesel engine. I was using a grade 5 oil and dropped it at 4000k's for testing. Still have some of that GW Sougi 6000 laying about too... Hope I don't have to post in this thread again for a while.
  4. Even happier customer. Good result Jez.
  5. Still no intake? Still no cooling mod?
  6. You could just learn to reset the ecu yourself, that way it doesn't cost you a cent.
  7. As do the stock brakes...
  8. When I weld the plate it warps slightly, I think silicone is the best idea...
  9. More likely to be the sensors playing up imo.
  10. Should be about right. You shouldn't have to disconnect the fuel rail from the lines, just flip it over onto the drivers side guard. Make sure you silicone the top plate, you don't want it leaking...
  11. I spoke with them today, surprisingly they have yet to have an ev14 750cc or 1000cc Xspurt injector returned, from the 1000's of them they have sold. They have no idea what the fuss is about, perhaps there are backdoor copies getting about? That doesn't explain the ID failures though... The filter in the ev14's is inside the pintle tip and cannot be changed, there is no filter in the rail end. I can only go by my experiences with bosch 1000's, I have bought 5 sets now without issue, most builds running ethanol. My car has also been faultless on them for over 3 years, running ethanol as a daily. If there was much variation my stock engine would have melted long ago.
  12. Are you going to research which turbo would suit or are you happy with whatever they slap on there? I guess you don't have many choices when it comes to kits. Why don't you do it properly and go custom? GTX3076 FTW.
  13. Love it. Get some cement sheet on the concrete under the gate, you don't want to mess up the newly painted floor...
  14. It's a large housing, not sure it will fit on the stock manifold...
  15. You can use boost pressure to help hold the wastegate shut. Definitely worthwhile.
  16. Is it the Grex plate? I haven't seen too many with 4 ports. Got a pic? Did it have a metric thread adapter initially?
  17. The newer e85 400L walbro flows twice what your 342 walbro will. They are also designed to be e85 friendly and come with sealed connectors. Bosch ev14 1000's can be had for $600 including the adapters and plug tails locally, with warranty.
  18. Just get some stainless allthread? I use it all the time on Stagea's along with copper coated nuts. Might be difficult to find in M10 x 1.25 though...
  19. Lol, emissions reasons... And perhaps it's required? The AFM thinks there is more air entering the engine than there actually is, hence the fuel dump and general crappy running engine.
  20. Oh, well we had better drop everything and put Redline in... Thicker the better. Have fun with that.
  21. I have Nulon synthetic in the power steering, the attessa and the transfer case without issues. The gearbox will have standard Dextron III in it when it comes back from Kewish, they prefer non synthetic fluid for some reason in their rebuilt auto's. The transfer case has a simple 10mm allen key drain bung, it is separate from the attesa fluid. Make sure you crack the filling bung first.
