Probably... That ghey flutter noise is actually turbo compressor surge, it will most likely shorten the life of your turbo...

Without Link's support I put the G4 Extreme in the too hard basket. I would have thought there were enough of these Stagea's in NZ now for them to make a plugin, but I guess the numbers are too small for them to bother. Shame, it would be perfect for these engines with the throttle control module... I tried out the Vmanage, it isn't programmable and is only setup for the VQ35 hydraulic actuators. On the VQ25 the electromagnetic actuators hit their end stops with a bang at any more than 5 degrees input, it would have been either 40 or 50 degrees advance on the intake. The PWM frequency was completely different as I found out. For some reference, I lost over 40kw in the midrange and all my response without the cam advance operating.

Thanks for the feedback on this Daniel, I am hoping this means the G4 is able to be programmed for the VQ25det cam actuation also. Do you have any information you can send on the adjustments/settings available? Link were no help when I asked.

The new Holden's run eflex, as do about 6 other cars in Australia. I looked into running the 12:1 direct injection engine I have here on e85. Unfortunately the injectors seem to be very small, and larger ones aren't available. It would require adding 1000's into the plenum to satisfy the fuel requirements I think. Perhaps the direct injectors could run off the stock ecu and I could use an emanage to dump the extra fuel in with the 1000's? The VQ25dd has very interesting pistons and chambers, like nothing I have seen before. It also cuts air to half the intake valves during cruise to help with swirl. I'm very keen to see what I can do with it, I just need a car to slot it into.

I doubt it will get any better. Sounds like they bumped the line pressure a little too high. Not hard to fix but the valve body has to come back out.

They seem to do that a couple of times in their life. I would be replacing the o2 sensor, cleaning the AFM and changing the spark plugs if you are worried about fuel economy.

The non Hicas subframe seems perfect. I removed the suspension today and it looked fine. It was hit very high in the rear, at glass level. I think it was a 4x4 or truck bull bar. The Attessa unit was unharmed.

The cover should be fine, I haven't got into the back to check anything as Craig threw his ARX interior in the back and wedged it in tight. As usual the red plastic cover for the positive terminal snapped off at the hinge the other day. Not sure yet Craig. I doubt it. If it did you would have snatched it before it came down, wouldn't you?

Just the pipe, stainless flanges and gaskets would be close to $100. What about the 3 hours labour to remove and refit the system, plus make up the extension?

It does sound like airflow cut, but that would only happen at full throttle. Are you saying it does this at cruise also? How bad is the surging, does it feel like you just backed off the throttle completely or worse than that? Are there any dash lights up? I am thinking it is an ABS error for some reason. Where are you located? I think you will need some parts swapped if there is no fault code to guide you in the right direction.

Probably $300 if it is bolt on, it very rarely is though.

Walbro's don't like low voltage, run a thick direct power feed through a fuse and relay using the old pump wire to energise it.

The 2000's are actually 2200cc at 45psi I think. The 1000's are around 1500cc at 80psi. For the small price difference the 2000's are the go, around $110 each now I think. Keep in mind they are natural gas injectors and may not last as long as the 1000's from what I am told. From SAU feedback there are no issues so far though.

So 4 x 20 is 80 amps, what was the maximum alternator output again?
