  1. 6 speed conversion buddy. Should have done it last time the box melted. Its a shame loosing the AWD but the weight saving alone will make it all worth while I think. I'm so over the auto, why won't it just shift when I tell it to...
  2. I just bought a 350Z manual conversion kit. Looks like my auto trans problems will be gone soon. RWD should be interesting...
  3. I just bought my secret weapon off ebay, a 350Z 6spd manual conversion kit. Now to rip out the angle grinder...
  4. Your fingers are going to get burnt trying to put the 20psi springs in on the dyno. lol. You seriously should have hooked up the water cooling on the Tial gate...
  5. Have you checked the cat?
  6. I have one on the wreck, and the unit on my car may be for sale soon...
  7. +1 ^^ Let us know Josh. No pipes popped off on the way down there?
  8. If you want snappy go the GTX3071 with either .82 or if you don't mind a lower top end output but want more midrange and response, the .63. My GTX3076 isn't as snappy as my old gtx3071 was.
  9. New PB at PI yesterday, pretty proud my 2 ton whale managed a 1:56. Gearbox let me down badly...
  10. Fags, they have no idea. Go to Kewish, their reader will work. I have to drop mine in for a gearbox rebuild next week by the looks of it.
  11. f*kr only stayed an hour or two. Lucky I didn't need a lift home Aaron, I limped home in 4th. Manual conversion time me thinks.
  12. ^^ Was pushed up beside the scrutineering shed, didn't look good. Pretty happy with my new PB of 1:56, not bad for a 2 ton car I thought. lol. My gearbox let me down again, perhaps time for a manual conversion?
  13. Phillip Island again yesterday, with gearbox issues again. Still managed a 1:56, 7 seconds off my pb. I just wish I could select which gear I want to be in before the corner... lol.
  14. On ethanol 22psi is low boost imo, as long as you have a modern compressor wheel that will cope with the higher pressures, without generating too much heat. Good cooling will still be required obviously. Is it to be a track car? Built engine? The GIO Gibson 32 GTR was running over 40psi in race trim on stock looking old tech turbo's, reliably.
  15. My suggestion is a GTX35 with a smaller split pulse rear, not sure it will quite make it at that boost. If you definitely want to crack 400 at 20psi you may need a larger frame like GT37/40 Why keep the boost so low? Given up on the Kando?
  16. No narrowband sensors in my setup, just the wideband for tuning atm. No need for a cat on ethanol.
  17. I don't agree, in my situation I changed from a 3 inch to 3.5 inch system and the car leaned out badly. Without a retune or lowering the boost I would have melted pistons. I ended up gaining 35kw from that alone. I guess NA at almost stock power with the stock o2 feedback it would make very little difference.
  18. Lol. You would need to look at head studs at a minimum but any VQ should take 250 to 300 wkw for a fair time as long as you find a good tuner. Just my educated opinion...
  19. 2mm? it is really only a casting bulge that you need to skim down.
  20. Do you know the pipe size? There are plenty of these listed on ebay. Worst case I could spin one up on the lathe...
  21. I am 6 foot and there is around 10 inches clearance from the roof lining to my head, plenty of room, even to slide a helmet on in the car. Sounds like you need to sell the 34 and upgrade to a V35 or M35 Stagea.
  22. It will have a watermark, just a quick low res pic the photographer sent through. There is a possibility it will end up in a mag... Jun at work, this is my attempt at photography with my new Nikon V1.
  23. Sneak peek at my photo shoot...
  24. I'm talking about a VQ not an RB. Why would the engine matter? The turbo will pump X amount of air, and if there are no restrictions any engine should run around 300 on e85 with an SS1PU, maxing out the compressor.
