  1. Not lucky, moar flow required mate. lol. On this topic, those of you with the stock computer should be fine but if you run a Nismo, Impul or similar you should really chuck it on the dyno to make sure the injectors aren't maxing out. We don't want another Jetwrecker incident... The stock ecu has that fuel cut for a reason...
  2. I'm not worried mate, yours looks the goods if you can replicate it on the bench. It's only replacing the lower part anyway and requires you to use the stock rubber pipe right? Personally I hate that rubber U bend (flow would be woeful) and decided to fabricate the whole intake in 3 inch, as the inlet of the turbo is where massive gains can be had. Obviously this only works if you have control of the ecu as Leon said, due to afm cut and requiring more fuel.
  3. Mmm, seems there are quite a few failing this winter too, conspiracy?
  4. You been around that long Stag250, 2007? I thought Cam's was the first to blow. What ended up happening mate?
  5. Much better than the PI prices. lol. He said two to a bay, I'm not sure what's going on either. As long as I have somewhere undercover to store my crap i'm happy.
  6. No idea, you would have to pull the sensor, heat it up and check. It may even need to be switched in with a relay when the egr valve opens, no big deal.
  7. I ordered a double bay, $80. Hopefully we can split it 4 ways as he said you can only fit 2 in a bay.
  8. I'm interested Tony, and so is Artz i'm sure... You want to call or should I?
  9. Way too big, I just finished a 6boost/T67 combo for Josh and it barely fit between the rocker cover and the strut tower. The hot side cooler pipes had very tight bends as the comp cover outlet had to point straight down.
  10. There is no 500rpm better response unless you put a .63 housing on it. (or a split pulse .82 setup) 20psi by 4000 is about what they both make. (GTX and GT .82)
  11. I assume it will as there is an egr temp sensor in the plenum. Try it out, if it throws a fault code you could perhaps trick the ecu with a resistor over the sensor wires...
  12. 2.5 inch should be good to around 240-250kw, for anything more 3 inch would be required imo.
  13. I'm fairly sure my 20L came from Repco.
  14. At least the GTX compressor would be in the middle of it's efficiency, plenty more in it though. I got 350kw at 25psi to give you some idea of it's potential. I wouldn't be surprised if there was 400kw in it on a perfect setup.
  15. The bottom one is the hard one imo. Definitely no chance to extend the bolt through with my 3 inch one, unless you ran a small pipe through. No reason to really.
  16. Looks good Dale, any idea what the ceramic coat would cost?
  17. No idea on the part number but I have a spare one here if you need it... I would just bypass the solenoid and try that for now, as numb nuts suggested.
  18. If the solenoid is blocked it will lower the boost, if there is a leak it may go higher causing the ecu to pull it back. The hose from the solenoid that T's into the boost line has a restrictor in it. If it has been replaced that could make the boost rise too high causing the same issue. Have you changed the exhaust to 3 inch? that would cause it to run higher too. A way around it is to trick the stock map sensor into thinking the pressure is fine, you could use a small pressure regulator if you wanted, set to 12psi, but I would be getting a better boost gauge first.
  19. Which gauge are you using? The minimum boost on the stock actuator is 7psi...
  20. Meh, aint going to happen any time soon unless you want rwd skids, there is nothing wrong with the auto anyway. Why do you want easy? I like the challenge. When the m35 ecu is 20 years old and has years of motorsport development behind it we may have more aftermarket ecu options. Until then, what's wrong with the Fcon Vpro?
  21. True, as long as you don't go over 374whp you would be fine with the later VQ's. 375 = Boom.
  22. I'm guessing they don't want another solicitors letter. lol.
  23. Nissan can have it here in 2 days. Most of the parts are reasonably priced from what I have found, as long as you have a good stealership. I paid $25.28 so ask them to match it. Quite cheap for what it is. Have fun fitting it.
