  1. So does Nissan...
  2. They creak because you have no bracing...
  3. Mine did this when I upgraded the disks to 32 GTR, are they stock? Or wheel bearing...
  4. I was hoping to make a solid windscreen mount for the iphone and use the onboard video, to save me buying the gopro straight away. Hopefully if the mount is good enough it shouldn't bounce around too much.
  5. Where is the mike? No issues here, my screamer is plumbed back. Tony, what software would you use for Iphone4? And what mount is solid enough for track work? I might get in on this too.
  6. There are other places the air could come from, one being the head gasket/combustion chamber. If you keep getting air in a sealed system you most probably have a leak or worse. Is there a local mechanic you can take it to for a carbon and pressure test on the coolant system if it doesn't bleed properly next time?
  7. I asked the local Natrad bloke what he does with his waste, he said he treats it (to even out the PH I think) and then dumps it down the drain.
  8. There is not much to the camshaft advance mechanism, just an electromagnet with a clutch plate and behind that a spring advance unit. I have spares here if you need them. What suburb are you in?
  9. It might be worth welding alloy piping straight to the compressor inlet. To bad you guys are up in Sydney, I would love to have a crack at jigging them up. I imagine the GTX will be a common upgrade once all the parts are available. As for surge, my GTX3076 is surging a little at light throttle, I assume the surge slots will help avoid compressor damage?
  10. Are you still running the stock boost solenoid? Just run a new hose from the actuator straight to the nipple on your pipe if you haven't already.
  11. You are paying someone else to nut it all out? Okay...
  12. I heard there is a caryard in Dandenong that have some good ones.
  13. At the expense of a little top end power usually. Unfortunately the peak power figures can give a false sense of power gains as they are only up high in the revs where they don't get used much. More torque in the midrange is what people should be chasing imo.
  14. I'm glad i'm not the only one with a failing memory.
  15. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/389157-m35-vq25det-afm-part-number/page__p__6202624__hl__m35%20afm%20part%20number__fromsearch__1#entry6202624
  16. Did you try a search? Newbie.
  17. Which sensors? I run both, I just cut the wire at the fcon end and can swap between them with bullet connectors. The stock ecu still gets the stock sensor signal as the patch loom goes straight through. Cam, what were my errors again? I am keen to get rid of them all now. I remember the stock o2 was missing...
  18. They need to change to some extent, as the weather, temps and pressure changes. (this tune was at .85 correction or something.) Truthfully I don't care, I just want a good, strong tune ready for Sandown. Hopefully I can stop fiddling for a while now so it doesn't need tuning again. With the hard life this engine has had I can't believe it hasn't thrown a rod. Time to enjoy driving it... while it lasts.
  19. Auction sniper pro.
  20. Realist mate, have you even looked under there yet? Very happy, its just running off the gate spring at the moment, plenty more in it if I lean on the controller. Not sure I need more. lol. It's a conservative track tune, should be good to see what time it can do around Sandown. 1800kg it weighed in at so i'm not expecting supercar times.
  21. 170k's to my last tank is extreme. lol. another 20L would be very handy. I have plenty of room in the back... I have a bit on, did you want it done before Sandown?
  22. I think the tps shat itself, it read 2.5v continuously at idle. I guess it was in limp mode but I didn't have to reset anything once the new throttle was in... I had a similar experience at PI, had to pit as the car wouldn't rev. It ran fine again once I restarted the car.
  23. Definitely need the oil cooler for the track, as well as a huge trans cooler and the power steering. Not much room left in the front of mine now. With a massive 30 row oil cooler that has a 14 inch thermo mounted to it, my oil still got to 110 degrees at PI, the water hovered around 91 with the stock radiator. My car let me down today. The throttle became unresponsive and I had to crawl home at 20-30kph. (after pulling the throttle plug for some more revs.) I suspected Leon's cruse at first so I disconnected it, no change. Swapped the throttle pedal over, still the same. I even pulled the ecu plug and checked the loom, no problems. It turned out to be the throttle body itself which is unusual, I haven't heard of one failing before. At least I have a few laying around I guess. The best part is it idles on 700 again instead of 1000 revs. Win.
