  1. I just tuned on 98 for a run up to Sydney (No damn pumps on the way yet), we had to take around 30% fuel out on average, and as much as 50% on idle and light load.
  2. Sounds like it, or a really stupid cop?
  3. As far as I know you can't change the seals. You will need a new core which is where Hypergear could help.
  4. Nice clean setup there, good wastegate flow. Get some boost pressure on the top of that gate next Roy... What springs are you running?
  5. Can't you just make a small manifold adapter and move the compressor housing over a bit? You would need a converter from split T3 to the 3 bolt anyway wouldn't you? You after some more powerz Artz?
  6. Contact Hypergear, he will need to highflow the turbo I suspect. Is it leaking out the dump?
  7. Fit a Varex muffler? Don't bother with the flange plate, it won't help that much. Or fit a s/h stock turbo system? Where are you located? I heard there is a big blitz on (Melbourne and Sydney) for noise at the moment.
  8. I picked up a low K 350z manual diff for around $550 delivered from Japan, came with wheel sensors and stub axles. It took a while though as it had to go in a container. If you need one give Prince Skyline a PM, (JDM Factory) or PM me for his number.
  9. I will have a wreck coming down from Sydney soon. Where are you located?
  10. 38mm gate is pretty small, I would have thought a 45mm would have been a better size, especially if the wastegate feeds off the manifold at a weird angle. Have you got any pictures?
  11. Damn, I ran out last time I was in Campbelfield getting a tune and thought I could make it there. Its lucky I didn't rely on that servo for a fill. I will probably be heading down the flex sensor path soon, not sure how I will go as I am using the Fcon, hopefully there is a 0-5V input spare...
  12. There are unlimited ways to plumb catch cans and some are much better than those ways you linked. Personally I would never vent a can to atmosphere, or drain the oil back, but each design has its merits I guess. If you have oil filling the can you have much bigger issues, they should only be used to control the oil vapour and stop it lowering your combustion octane, or to stop oil condensation in the cooler and manifold imo.
  13. I'm using one as a transfer pump, apparently its the only pump they could sell me that will suck up a hose. Its a weird shape to try and fit into a tank though. Have you looked at the 416 Walbro's? They look the goods but I have been waiting for one for a month now. Perhaps the Nismo/Tomei are still the best option for GTR's?
  14. Raptor want to put 8psi into a high comp engine? I guess the kit will come with low comp pistons then so it won't be cheap.
  15. Only a little, the VQ manifold was fairly dirty and covered in mucky oil and carbon before I cleaned it. Now it's spotless. The can only fills with moisture, ethanol and a little oil.
  16. Might have to do the same thing Birds, I don't think the sensor fuel lines are big enough though, does it have to plumb into the main fuel feed or is a secondary return line enough?
  17. Perhaps they were distracted by the donut van?
  18. Loud exhaust? BURN him at the stake... lol.
  19. I need the tread for PI, you can run the V35 17's. lol.
  20. +1 I run a similar setup, pcv plumbed into small sealed catch can then to the manifold and the main breather to catch then back to the intake. Both catch cans will need stainless steel wool inside them or they will dump oil fumes into the intake still. I also setup two ball valves and some hose underneath them to make draining easy.
  21. He and Aaron have a little love thing going. Aaron, are you coming down to PI on the 21st? Get that orange pos on the track...
  22. Not much good with the t2 rear housing but perhaps Stao could slide a GT35 into it? Ring Hypergear and find out...
  23. I just entered driver training, hopefully there is a spot left. I have to fit a nylon tow strap as the stock one is no more and I will need an extinguisher too, other than that i'm unsure what the bonnet requirements are, can I tie it down somehow or do I need to fit some kind of pins? I would prefer to not drill holes in the bonnet...
  24. This should sort you out. Do you have a soldering iron? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/297345-m35-factory-boost-gauge-repair/page__p__4951320__hl__boost%20sensor%20fix__fromsearch__1#entry4951320
  25. I would say don't boost it when the car is cold, it's not good for the engine. That's why Nissan backed all the timing out when it's cold, so you can't thrash it.
