  1. Where are you located?
  2. I don't remember pulling anyone off Mate. lol. Heres hoping the Hypergear pulls the numbers.
  3. I fit the dumps with a jack and stands, I just lift the passenger side as high as I can. There are a few tricks to it though... I can only speak for my dump and front pipe design, they both use the stock flange sizes. I would recommend changing them both together as the stock front pipe has a piece of 2.5 inch pipe sticking out past the flange.
  4. Mine made that noise when I used the Drift filters. its fine on the current Ryco one but make sure you have the correct filter number as some don't have anti-drain back valves. If there was a bearing problem you would know about it, and it would get noisier as the oil thinned out. Its much simpler to change the filter than rebuild the motor mate. Perhaps send an oil sample off to get tested? That would tell you how much bearing material is in the oil.
  5. Why would you have to change your fuel lines?
  6. Try changing the oil filter, the anti drain back valve inside it may be leaking. What brand/part number is it?
  7. Exactly birds, the safety is the key. I bet if you tune for both you will never run the 98 again. (unless you want to drive to Sydney in it one day) I never had any storage issues. I think people get all worried due to the storage problems methanol has, they are not the same fuel.
  8. I think you will be surprised Birds, and the torque hike will only make it worse.
  9. I will come and get them, PM'd.
  10. I knew the pump and injectors wouldn't last long with water alone, I was contemplating flushing the system with WD40 or mixing a little water soluble oil in perhaps. I'm just interested to see what effect direct injecting the water at different points in the cycle would have.
  11. Have you done the brake wire cut Marko? That would improve things. Otherwise we can go back once the mods are done to yours.
  12. PM'd If you look at the hole in the bottom of the reg you will realise the -6 line is plenty but you can use -8 if you're worried. Like I said I have no issues with my setup.
  13. Im not with my GTX3071 as there is one fitted in the top as standard on most BB Garrett's. That said I would be running a filter then another 1mm dash fitting restrictor in the turbo oil feed just in case. Its not like they cost much. Look on ebay there is plenty.
  14. I ordered teflon fuel lines from Torques UK after my locally supplied teflon hoses leaked continuously. His ones have been fine for over a year running e85, never leaked once. I run twin Walbro's, twin -6 lines with a single -6 return and fuel pressures are fine. Make sure you always match the fittings with the same brand of hose, eg. if you have Earls lines get Earls fittings. I need to look into a fuel cooler myself if anyone has information on them.
  15. They are popping up everywhere in Melbourne, perhaps that's where all the sales are? They will only pay the money to put pumps in if they know it will sell. The more people going out of their way to fill on the current e85 pumps the better.
  16. Hahaha. Think your car is good for it Alex? Wind the wick up and see what she will do, you got to beat 13.5. Can you take off with wheelspin yet? My takeoff would be fixed by simply opening up the stator on the torque converter but I don't want to go down that path. I want a fast street car not drag.
  17. I could sleeve it out, I have a 3.5 engine here too, but why would I want a longer stroke or a larger piston when i'm making 335kw already? C'mon mate you really need to catch up... I will probably drop the 2.5dd in if this engine ever retires. High comp, e85 and direct water injection to control the piston temps.
  18. Lol, but how would I get the cams to work? VQ25 FTW...
  19. You can buy my kit if you like, I think I want to upgrade to the GTX3076...
  20. Probably, most VQ's run the same 14mm injectors too but for the price you cant go past Bosch/ID 1000's. So what if you need to cut the loom and crimp on a new plug. If you are worried about going back to stock one day, just buy a spare injector loom.
  21. Waiting to see if mine worked mate?
  22. Nice Dale, who is doing the Fcon install? Did you manage to find a harness? You will find no matter what you do boost will drop off after a midrange spike, I can send you an uprated actuator if you need one to remedy that. You still on the stock turbo?
  23. Edit, thought you meant Fuel pump.
  24. That's good, it means you know what you're getting yourself into. I hope you get better support from Haltech than I got. lol. You should be fine with the high compression and e85 but lets hope the rods handle the extra torque from that alone. It will surprise a few people that's for sure. What boost are you looking to push through the TD05's? They should be good for well over 500kw right? External gate I assume? Start a build thread on it so we don't hog the Kando thread.
