  1. It makes the pipework very simple to fabricate and will look very clean and stock if you paint it all black. Should do the job nicely if you dont have huge power goals.
  2. Has anyone actually done back to back testing on any of these intakes? I would be surprised if there was any real gains over the stock airboxes. Dyno figures are just too easy to fudge anyway. I like the look of the Takeda, and at least it sits in a cold air high pressure zone.
  3. Get on to him Jethro, find out what he can do for us...
  4. How do you know the 25 heads will fit, have you done it yet? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/342662-vq25det-to-vq35det-conversion-in-m35-stagea We have already told you most of this info and you dont seem keen to elaborate on what you plan to do or why...
  5. Clean the AFM, change the plugs and air filter. If its still running rich there will be deeper issues like o2 sensor etc.
  6. He did a great job, doesnt he want more work?
  7. Just slide it throug the main wiring grommet, behind the battery, then down the passenger side and along the back seat.
  8. Its not about intake temps, its the rear housing glowing at around 8-900 degrees C that worried me. My kit is very easy to remove, I can have the turbo out in less than an hour with no hoist. lol. You should have bought the Scotty's Customs kit.
  9. No turbo beanie? I would be sliding one on mate. Looks good, like a copy of my setup. lol.
  10. Plenty of people like me can make one.
  11. The VQ30 doesnt have cam adjustment, the VQ35de has hydraulic adjustment called cvct and the VQ25 has evct. Not sure if the cams are the same though, perhaps the actuator mechanisms are different but they bolt to the cams the same way? I still havent gotten around to fitting the 25det heads to the 3.5, not sure they fit yet. Do you know? Why not just use the de heads?
  12. Yep, I have a spare. Do you want the whole turbo or just the core? PM me.
  13. What are you looking for? With a good flowing head there isnt much need for cams in our engine, especially with a 6500 redline. That said, I think the 3.5de cams are similar, will they drop in? Probably but dont quote me. You can come here and try if you like, I have a spare of each engine.
  14. I would rather an open diff than wobbly wheels, lowering a hicas equipped car may put undue load on the rear subframe too. There are plenty of aftermarket LSD options.
  15. Piss it all off and go aftermarket.
  16. You got ripped off, lol. It's for the navigation disk.
  17. It won't fit, I need to cut and shut a vq bellhousing on to it and get custom shafts made.
  18. These are not highflow turbos, they are large housing surge ported Garrett turbo's with external gating, much more chance of a higher figure.
  19. I'm guessing the current gtx3071 is good for around 320 on ethanol, on an m35, hopefully the 76 can add 30 to that figure so around 350awkw, perhaps a little less with the .82 rear on it. That's the next goal anyway. Not sure the box will be happy with that figure, even the 33gtr box I hope to slip in may not handle it for long.
  20. The bar must be raised again, 300 just isn't what it used to be. I am going to a 0.82 stainless rear so hopefully more power with better response and standalone management.
  21. Matty? You are right, its well derailed. I may have sold the GTX3071 setup though and im planning to upgrade to the GTX3076 now. Will have to start a new thread I guess.
  22. After seeing some drift seats disintergrate over a few weeks, I would prefer to have my bride seat with no sticker.
  23. My last set of platinums lasted less than 10,000, when I pulled them they were 2.5mm gap. Just put a set of coppers in there, I wish I could.
