Im running r34 brembos on the front of my Stagea which is the same as a v35/350z in the brake department. The offset may be different but other than that they are the same calliper. Just make sure you get the disks from the model the callipers are from.
I have a spare front seal kit for these these brembos if anyone needs one.
Im running an open 1.06 Tial rear on a GTX3071, I would say there would be 2-300 rpm difference in spool between that and the 0.82.
Go the larger housing to keep exhaust temps down, especially if you plan to ramp the boost up.
An open housing will bolt up to the T3 split manifold no problem. I wouldnt worry about the flange.
Probably a loose battery terminal, if not it sounds like one of the fuses is blown or a relay not working. There is a fuse box in front of the battery and one behind.
Need more power. lol. I learned to drive in an Austin A30 750cc and my first car was a KE30.
If you wanted performance mods frankly you bought the wrong car, there are very few parts available for the VQ25det let alone the dd. Best bet is to buy a half cut and slot the 3.5 in when you are off your P's.
Stock oil cooler blocked? If the water line is gunked up that may cause it. Try disconnecting the coolant outlet hose while its running or squirt the hose through it?
That turbo to cooler pipe is a pain, especially getting around the driveshaft. Probably best to fabricate it from stainless for strength mate. Its coming along nicely.
How is the tuning side going?
I saw the 300v jelly when I ran the low temp thermostat and did a few short cold start runs to work in winter. I assume the oil didnt get hot enough to evaporate the ethanol/water as that wouldnt happen very quickly at 68 degrees. No problem with the stock 86 degree one.
Nissan will have an afm but it wont be cheap. You only need the sensor not the tube it sits in. You can try from the US once you have the p/n, it will be half the price.
The intake or more specifically the throttle can cause the car to stall if its too dirty but if you unplug the AFM and it runs then theres a good chance it isn't the throttle.
The stock ecu is fine with the EMU, thats what I run but the speed cut is still there, unless you run the HKS SLD or an aftermarket ecu.
Not sure yet how the Fcon gets around the speed cut MIL and throttle restrictions, the HKS loom has 4 extra wires I cant diagnose which return to normally unused ecu pins. It will obviously be harder to tune though.
And Iain is definitely a knob, even if he kept his Stagea...
Haha, start the battle.
With only what, 6 cars tuned at the moment? One of them blown up, Craigs EMU has been removed, Jethro not allowed to drive, Cam cant drive = smashed (lol), Theres not many left on the road to battle...
Its the same as the VQ25dd as thats what I put in mine.
It also looks similar to the VQ35 starter but its a different part no. and I havent checked if they fit.
How lame did you feel when they gave you the "smokem up" gesture and all you could do was shrug. lol.
Nice pics and times, I had better pull my finger out and get down to Calder before someone beats my 13.5s. Youre all getting too close for comfort.
It depends how well galvanized your fuel tank is, ethanol will usually only rust the unprotected parts of the tank like any post gal welding etc. Mine is perfect still after 2 years but an older car may have issues. Its a good idea to check occasionally, as you found. Yours may have let moisture in through the damaged seal?
