How are they running by the way? I was trying to talk my mate into running them on his s15, but he had already bought the LS tractor coils.

I drop mine after every trackday.

Pods are fail in GTR's, the stock airbox is good for 500+kw.
-
At idle it changes depending on the vac generated, hence why the base pressure is always set with the vac line disconnected. Should be around 40-45psi, depending how much boost you want to run. At idle the pressure will likely drop to 35-40psi once you hook the vac line back onto the reg.

Hassle is the Z32 body is physically larger and won't bolt to the stock airbox, you will also need custom piping in an area there isn't much room.

MAP tune ftw. AFM's are for fagts... Oh right... Stick with the Nismo's.

Options For New Inlet Manifold - 100mm, Retain Itbs

Correct, the difference in pressure is likely the amount it is being cooled. -
M35 Stagea P0121 Throttle Problem
scotty nm35 replied to ONCE-NA's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
So you have a TPS fault, something is wrong with the tps signal back to the ecu. There are two tps signals and they are both monitored/compared by the ecu constantly and anything that may throw the voltages out, even slightly will trigger the limp mode. Do you have anything else hanging off the TPS wires? Such as a cruise control, piggyback ecu or something else aftermarket? -

True... Op should run 6 inch piping for efficiency. -

Power should be slightly better if there aren't extra/tighter bends in it, and transient response will be slightly worse I imagine. Bang for buck it may be a waste, but that's for you to decide. Depends what you plan to use the car for. Just remember stock boost is only one bar too, you will be running twice that most likely, so the pipes should flow around 50% more air from that alone, and the factory pipes were overkill for stock power. -
Its all a downhill spiral now Leroy. Next week I may see you at Cranny station scabbing ciggy butts. Better hope the cops/government/banks don't find out you stole an identity, fake or not...

How much power are you chasing? Most Japanese systems need to meet the Jasma standard, which makes them very quiet, and usually flow less. Quite often there is a 70mm or 60mm restrictor inside the rear muffler which can be cut out with a die grinder cut off wheel if you want a bit more noise or flow.

Equal Length Front Pipe Made In Sydney?

I just assumed it was HKS due to the catback being HKS. There are no markings. -
Pretty sure a 25 year old exhaust won't pass noise emissions, I don't think they passed when new.

Have seen 500kw through the stock piping, now he is going for 600kw. I will let you know how he goes. After seeing 350kw through 2.25 inch piping, 80mm should therefore easily flow 600 by my books. Just letting you know as most workshops would have upgraded it at much less power. The more you compress the air the smaller the pipes need to be, that much is obvious yeh? -
Equal Length Front Pipe Made In Sydney?

Just to shove a spanner in the works, I measured a set of HKS equal length pipes and found... They weren't equal anyway, there was 5 inches extra on the front turbo pipe. Anyone have any other brands laying about to check? -
Well I can tell you that 30 micron stainless won't cause the Bosch 1000's to block, (unless you run the little pre-filters in the adapter) and you won't be constantly changing filter cartridges.
-
7 micron is too fine, I run 30 micron stainless mesh and have never had an issue. Anything under 10 will require changing regularly. If you prefilter a pump with a fine mesh you will cause cavitation, I would say 100 micron would be better, seeing there should be a filter on the feed to the surge anyway, so the surge should only have clean fuel. Do you have filters after the 044's? That should be the point of smallest filtration.

The issue is phones have sound cancelling and make for very bad Youtube recorders. Simple minded? You must be if you think I somehow said that in my post. The clip clearly had a deep exhaust and a buzzy pos one. Front pipes don't change the sound like that, well not that much. I agree it can be slightly different, usually due to the material. The mild system I just fitted was a little tinny due to the mild piping, I don't get that with the stainless pipes I use. Sacrificing power for sound, how very GTR. -

Front and rear cam sensors? They are both at the rear of the head... Are you using genuine cam sensors from Nissan, or aftermarket? -

So now it's tuned you can shove a set of 18psi actuators in, that will stop the wastegate blowing open from manifold pressure. -
Yep, 460L e85 Walbro is the pump to buy these days. Mount it low and never look back.

Every bend you place in an exhaust limits flow to some extent, more so than straight through mufflers. Valve timing adjustment... Well that will change the note for sure.
