  1. V pro is a standalone. The stock ecu is only there to run the Attessa etc. Interested in selling it? PM me.
  2. What do you want to know? Its very similar to the VQ35de but with stronger rods. The engine was only released in the Stagea and only for 4 years so its a bit of an orphan but a great strong engine. Not many mods for it but that's the fun part.
  3. They weep coolant, well my set does anyway. Just get OEM, they obviously last well.
  4. A crap alloy radiator is worse than the stock one apparently, they must be multiple pass for the higher cooling effect to be considered an upgrade. I think they are saying if the fins leak they cant braze them whereas the stock one can be?

  6. His loss, No chance the box will hold the torque this engine can produce without it, 4 of us have proven that now and Cihan will definitely ask for it to be done before he will tune another.
  7. It usually sits around 87, I saw it over 110 on the vic cruise and thats running through both coolers.

  10. I see much the same, even with the tripple pass mishimoto, the stock thermostat hovers around 90 on average. Nothing wrong with that, the clearances are designed for it. I did notice the oil temps shoot up after a spirited drive through the hills, even with the cooler. I would be more worried about that if you plan to add power.
  11. The air is more dense on the outside of the bend and gets more so the faster it flows, it makes it very hard to tune around, even with an emanage...

  13. Advanced timing is ok if its run rich, that's how the Japanese tunes run most of the time. As long as theres no knock you're fine. The hassle is you need to run a buffer of a few degrees at least as the stock ecu changes constantly. That's why I'm going standalone.

  15. I don't think the emanage is reliable above 250, the timing doesn't hold steady at all with the stock ecu still in charge causing pinking occasionally. With ethanol it won't obviously, that's why I run it now.

  17. Injectors, Fuel pump, Intercooler, 3 inch intake, full 3 inch free exhaust, Map sensor, standalone engine management (V PRO, PS2000), Large frame turbo, Built gearbox, the list goes on... While you can do over 250 on petrol on the highflow/emanage it isn't a safe tune and ethanol is required imo.
  18. Mine has 25,000k's on the odo now. I still have the original I can give the next buyer but I don't think they will care. Its obvious an aftermarket Nismo dash will change the K's isnt it?
  19. Are you sure the flange is flat? It's very easy to warp them when welding.

  21. If the top tank is cracked you will definitely know about it. The Oring seals the whole underside of the top tank and usually only weeps when warm, sometimes it sprays out from one side.
  22. Yep, I have had the overheating thing so many times, I just fill at the rear bleed and it goes away. That said, if it is leaking you should keep a few litres of water in the back just in case.

  24. Usually the Oring goes on the top tank. It may hold pressure fine until its hot. These can be replaced. I would just fill the system from the rear bleeder, behind the drivers side head, and check it a few times to make sure its full. If it still leaks there is a problem. The coolant can spurt out the top of the overflow container if it gets full which could be your spray in the engine bay.
