  1. I only got 120ks from the last fill, you're doing pretty well IMO.
  2. Lol, its your twin. Short arse.
  3. What is the price for just the cooler though?
  4. The offer was made to me though.
  5. I have definitely thought about it, as you said Trent its only for taking off but I have been told the input shaft probably wouldn't handle it for long. The auto shifts gears fine with the lockup clutch manually engaged so it would work well.
  6. They unplug, just like a wiring connector.
  7. Thanks mate, plenty of work to do at the moment anyway, the wheel bearing turned up today and I still have to fit the Brembo's. One step at a time.
  8. I'm waiting on a donor torque converter for Kewish to hack up, they were hoping a patrol unit may fit with a little modification and strengthening. I would love a 34 Getrag but the costs... The auto is handling it, so I may as well stay with it for now I guess.
  9. I already have the Vband Tial adapter made so I would obviously prefer the Tial housing but that one shares the compact packaging I required. I know HKS managed to fit the T3 adapter but the Vband is hard enough to tighten in that tight space without 8 bolts to do up. Imagine putting a ship in a bottle using 17mm spanners.
  10. $150 shipping, you're kidding right...
  11. Thanks Cihan for that info, I know we are onto a goldmine with this engine once the ecu is taken care of. Im still waiting for a Tial .82 rear, it will come soon but im enjoying the power curve regardless. The low end feels much stronger with the large housing so I don't really miss the instant take-off the stock turbo had. I may go down the HDI intercooler route soon if this one proves a restriction, can we test the pre/post cooler pressures to find how the thing is flowing? I always preferred to have the whole cooler in the airflow but if it doesnt flow enough then the full height core behind the intrusion bar is a must I guess. I dont think there are off the shelf cams for these but I think a 3.5 build would still be the go rather than cracking this one open as there is no aftermarket support for the 2.5. How easy was it to fit the SLD and how well did it integrate with the stock Toyota ecu mate? I have always been a little worried about cutting the CAN line but I guess its the only option left for the Emanage tune...
  12. No idea what it will do, I just hope I don't get kicked out. I'm not putting a cage into it.
  13. You wont be able to tune it until you sort out the leak/issue. Its a decent leak, check all the larger hoses on the plenum, as the idle is high its after the throttle.
  14. It should be fine Bob, but I still have speed cut, thats the next mod. The last runs at Calder had me hitting speed cut by what seemed to be 3/4 track.
  15. I had similar reversion when I first put a grubscrew in mine, it only happened on that tune, all later tunes got rid of it somehow. Remove the grubscrew and see if it gets better.
  16. Nice, why didnt that come up in my Ebay worldwide search? Thanks.
  17. I only use the front jacking point under the passenger seat usually, then chock the rear jacking point with a stand, another stand under the front lower control arm bush. Then I move the jack to another spot so its not in the way but still under the side rail for fall protection. Mirror then for the other side but you will need 4 stands.
  18. The pinouts look the same, I guess you could try it at the ecu end. I think the signal comes from the BCM under the fusebox on the drivers side but dont quote me.
  19. Cutting the wire in ours made the car sluggish after a while in some sort of limp mode, those of us with emanage controllers saw it possibly running lean so it may not be the answer just yet.
  20. Want to sell your Tial .82? I cant find one anywhere, Tial are out of stock worldwide.
  21. Dont ask me Jeff, Mr Nissan designed it that way. Its supposed to be sporty in manual mode so the converter locks to provide full power and economy with no flare. The issue is it slowly tries to lock over 2 seconds after the gearchange, which is fine at stock power and with the stock converter but with 2 1/2 times the torque and 4000 stall instead of 2500 it has no chance. Thats why I cut the wire to the lockup solenoid. As the new vic hoon laws have come into effect I have decided to plumb the external back in today if I get a chance.
  22. Im not sure what ecu you have, if you can find the ecu pinouts for your car, its the brake input wire.
  23. I had the same thing happen occasionally with my Pivot throttle controller, and difference in the resistance curves and it goes into throttle limp, 1200 revs. I have it on "normal" now with no problems in the last 6 or so months. Luke, I have a cable throttle setup for the VQ if you want too try it.
  24. You mean the bearing? I will just buy a new one then, its making some pretty weird noises and the steering doesn't feel good. I will see if JustJap have any in stock.
